Like all other HUE products the price is a little too hefty, but it works. The brightness and colors are what you'd expect and it operates and automates like you'd expect as well. I used it for a little ambient lighting behind the headboard of the bed in the master and it looks great. I guess my only complaint is the mounting options. I'd like to see a more vesatile and secure way to mount it other than the 3M strips. Me, I just held it up where I wanted it and ran screws through the base to secure it to the wall. Had these for for about 4 years now and they still work great. I have used them for a couple different things since but right now I use them for under bed lighting and they look great! Though be aware these are not going to create an even lit look, if you are looking for more even lightibg across a wall or longer distance look at the hue light strips instead. ... show more

Okay, never mind, product packaging is dumb. I thought the screws were missing, but they are just very very well hidden, such that I would've thrown then away if I didn't tripple check the package. the lights's good though.

Definitely worth the money. It attaches to the back of the TV perfectly and, with the Hue Sync Box, you can sync the lights to the color of the TV. It is super easy to set up, just make sure that you have the Philips Hue Hub first. There are few products that actually work this well, I would suggest this along with other Philips Hue lights over other smart lighting products. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Pros: - It feels nice and well built - Not very heavy - Great brightness - Setup was easy ————- Download the Hue Sync app to your PC. Make sure it finds your hue hub, setup an entertainment zone on the Phillips hue app and you are ready. Cons: -I bought a used one by accident, even though all of the parts were in the box it was dusty on the back of the device with a little bit of residue. -Feels like plastic, wish it was a bit more thicker. -Having issues with getting it to sync up with Netflix. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I put a Philips Hue Play bar inside our non-working gas fireplace with some glass “stones” and a candle holder that we normally only use at Christmas. I think it looks pretty good. I used armature wire to secure the light up top. I did the same on my TV because the 3M stickers aren’t strong enough. ... show more

Price is the only thing that bugs me. But it works seamlessly in the Hue environment. Still these lights are a bit pricey. I love how the lights change for certain games and also they are very flexible in terms of color and hue.
