I ordered this to replace a cheap nightstand lamp with a shade that could never be cleaned. I live in an apartment that doesn’t have overhead lights. All my lamp bulbs, smart plugs, etc. are Hue, I use an old iPad mounted on the wall as a “switch plate” (Apple Home), everything works fine. I have bedtime scenes that turn on white noise and the lamp, morning routines that gradually turn up the light, lamps that come on when I arrive home, etc. I’m happy with all of it, my only comment would be that they are expensive for how they look. This lamp has some metal, mostly plastic and looks it. My real disappointment is with Amazon/3rd party seller. I received a previously opened used item. If you look at the seller reviews they have 100%. But if you look into the reviews they have many that say a used item was received. Amazon will remove it from the totals and take responsibility for it, but how are they getting so many previously unboxed items to ship out? It’s the principal of the thing, I paid for new, I want new. Undecided whether I will push back on this and reorder until I get a new one. ... show more
