The only downsides to these lamps are: 1. They’re kind of expensive 2. They’re not that bright unless using the white ranging LED These lamps are pretty awesome otherwise. The clear back allows the diffuse light through. It’s kind of like a transparent flashlight effect, if you can imagine that.     • Looks good in Amazon images. Looks cheap in person. Hue bridge/app sucks.

The light is just "Ok." It is bright, and the light changes colors using an app. The larger problem is the Hue box and app itself. Any time there is a power outage, however brief, the odds are not in your favor that any Hue settings will work again and you may have to delete each Hue device on the app and reinstall. This last time my power went out, which is infrequent, it took me over a month to get the Hue box working again, and even now I cannot get this Hue light to work again in the app. The light itself looks great in this image/picture, but looks cheap in person. Looks like cheap plastic in person, and it looks like a different material in the image, meaning it is not worth the price, in my opinion. ... show more
