I’ve had the system for three years, specifically four amarant lights and this year adding a fifth. I live in zone 6B and leave these lights outside during the winter and all year round. I’ve had to replace one light out right because it simply stopped working after three years. I have another light going to fail soon because it flickers once it gets above 70%, but it has also suddenly started working at full power again. ::shrug:: I’d say that the useful life of these are 3-4 years. I recommend buying long-term equipment insurance. I love the ambiance that this creates in my backyard and it is the compliment of many people that visit my house for dinner or for other activities. I love that this doesn’t require a hardwire and plugs into a standard socket, this has saved me time with the electrician. ... show more

I own so many Hugh products, and I really have grown to love them. This is a quality outdoor product that I believe will last for years to come and I really enjoy having the colors casting a mood on the wall.

    • Not worth the price
It's a nice touch to the yard but isn't as effective as I thought for the price point. For this light to work you need the power strip which is another $100 and an extension for 30.
