Why is the motion sensor insensitive, failing to detect, or having a shorter range than advertised? The sensor has 3 range gears (L, M, H). Install below 8.2ft to reduce blind spots. As an infrared sensor, its sensitivity/range slow/shorten when ambient temp nears body temp. Adjust the sensor angle flexibly for better performance. Why does the light stay on constantly without motion-sensing function? Check if it’s in override (constant-on) mode. To activate: Press the switch twice within 3s (stays on for 6hrs). To exit: Press once with >3s interval, or wait 6hrs for auto-exit to resume motion-sensing mode. Can this light be ceiling-mounted? Why doesn’t the sensor work after ceiling installation?What causes water ingress? Ceiling-mounted, max height ≤ 8.2 ft. Adjust the sensor angle to avoid blind spots. Apply sealant around the outer ring of the mounting base to prevent water ingress. I’m missing parts or can’t install the light. What should I do? Sorry for the inconvenience! Tell us immediately for missing parts replacement. Installation is easy: Drill holes, fix the mounting plate with expansion screws, then embed the light. Check the detail page (with diagrams) and video for guidance. Is the light body made of aluminum? How’s its heat dissipation? The light head is aluminum; the mounting base and sensor are plastic. Its heat dissipation has passed temperature-rise tests, with temps within a safe range—no need to worry about overheating.

How bright is this? Holy sunshine!
How bright? So bright that I will not need to go to the doctor for an x-ray. I will just stand in front of this light at night and have someone take my picture lol. This light replaces a 300 watt halogen bulb fixture and it is hugely brighter than those halogens ever were. The package arrived and I installed it today. Installation is fairly simple but make sure you shut the power at the fuse box AND the switch; not just at the switch like one of the videos says. After mounting, make sure you caulk around the base where it meets the wall. I was taught to leave the area around the bottom (6 O'clock) uncaulked to allow water to drain if you mount to the wall, i.e. vertical mount. I also use clear, paintable caulk like Dap 230. **** If you aren't comfortable working with wires and electricity have the mounting done for you by a pro. I think the fixture looks to be of good quality. Time will tell if it actually a good product. It does seem robust and it mounted solidly to the wall. The fixture it replaces lasted at least 15 years. I compared this light on other websites and Amazon had the cheapest price, by far for this Phillips. A good deal. When I turned on the light tonight, well that sucker is BRIGHT. I was going to set it to stay on for 10 minutes when motion activated but I am cutting it down to 3 minutes out of concern for my neighbors comfort. ... show more

Ease of setting motion time sensor as print is large black for easy readability. Moving switch tabs for time: 1 min, 3 min, very very easy. MOTION SENSIVITY is set by moving into desired position by snapping positions. NO DIAL ENHANCEMENT..What a welcome change. Sensitivity is EXCELLENT. 60-70 FEET NO PROBLEM. Install 15 minutes. Bright outdoor LED light, works great!
The Philips 72W LED security light is one of the brightest and most reliable outdoor lights I’ve used. At 7400 lumens with a 5000K daylight color, it completely lights up my yard and driveway, making everything clear and secure at night. The three adjustable heads are a big plus—they allow me to customize coverage exactly where I need it. I really like the versatility of the four lighting modes. The motion sensor mode is highly sensitive, picking up movement from a good distance, while the dusk-to-dawn mode makes it effortless to keep my property lit all night. Seems okay but time will tell
Just installed so longevity/reliability is unknown. It was not difficult to install, it's bright and seems to work well. I chose a name brand here hoping for better quality than the one it replaced. Sadly, it's still Chinese made which I did not favor. One minor issue is the instructions for the settings are pretty poor and you need a magnifying glass to read them. That needs improved! Very Bright Light
Much brighter than the regular spot lights his replaced. It was easy to install with all the necessary components. It worked so well I bought a total of 6 and replaced all of my lights.

So bright,this motion light is good for home security.
The coverage is huge and the light output is brighter than any other light I’ve owned. I love the different modes—I keep it on dusk-to-dawn for ambient lighting and it switches to full brightness with motion. The sensor is highly sensitive. The aluminum construction feels durable and well-designed for heat dissipation. Super easy to install—did it myself on a weekend. Living in Florida with humidity and sudden storms. No issues so far! Extremely Bright !!!!!!
I can say there is absolutely no way anyone can't be happy w the brightness of this product. It is so bright it's hard to aim because you can't look at the light to aim it. It lights up my front yard & the neighbors yard across the street. It's more than I expected !!!!
