We have been looking to upgrade our ODK bar stools since we built it in 2020. We had the cheap metal stools and they served their purpose. We had been eyeing these for about a year and decided to purchase. They are bigger than I thought, comfortable and sturdy. They look great, however putting them together was a hassle. The directions were just illustrations and not very good ones. There was no illustration on how to installed the swivel, I guessed and hoped I put it in correctly. Had to fight to get the back on once I put the arms on. Forget the tools they give you they are crap. I used my own tools, even a drill, but some areas were too tight for the drill to fit. Not sure the savings was worth 4 hours of my time, my back and heat exhaustion, but my friends and family will certainly enjoy them. Overall, I am happy, now that the hard work is done. ... show more

These stools are really nice. I have to say they are a little lighter than I had expected but seem to be sturdy. They are very comfortable and great height for my outside bar. Right amount of padding in back and seat. As for putting them together they are actually pretty easy after the first one. Just study the pictures really well. Took us about an hour on the first one and less on the rest. I would buy again. ... show more

First off these are not terribly difficult to assemble but it depends on which production day or fabrication line you get when you order. If you have a little mechanical ability, a pair can be assembled in under an hour. The key is to not tighten any of the bolts on each step until you have all the bolts installed and everything lined up. Do not put the nuts to the outside, if you slightly over tighten the nut, the cheap plastic cover cap wont stay on and are worthless. Mount with nut to the inside so you don't need cap (See picture). Variability - the first set we assembled went together smoothly and fit well (first picture). Then we opened the second box and a whole new world - the craftsmanship was poor and the welds for the armrests were way off (see second picture). They definitely need some quality control on their fabrication lines or personnel doing the welding. For the money these are comfy and love the fabric for the wet pool area. One last note on foot rest - if you over 5' 10" the foot rests are great - otherwise your feet will dangle becoming uncomfortable after a while. I custom fabricated a secondary foot rest with a couple 2x4 pieces, screws, paint and a piece of stair protector to round out the look. ... show more

These chairs are super comfortable and feel sturdy. So far we have had them for about a month and seem to be holding up well. The assembly process takes some patience... my husband put one together and at that point was so frustrated that I had to put together the second one. The holes don't always line up 100% and it is very tedious with a lot of little parts. I think the instructions could have been a little more clear but thankfully my husband figured it out. For the price and quality I think it was worth it, just be patient on assembly LOL ... show more

Product is decent, a bit of a challenge putting the first one together but then it gets easier as you build them. Screw caps won't stay on long so the ends of the screws tend to stick out a bit on the base. Overall pretty could, doesn't lean back at all so it forces you to set up straight - good for posture. ... show more

I haven't used the chairs long enough to really evaluate them beyond that they are what I expected. Hopefully they last. But look good so far. My big problem is with the package of assembly equipment. The tools provided are terrible and the bolts, screws, nuts and end covers are terribly difficult to remove from the package. Not only are they vacuumed sealed but held in place by an adhesive that is awful to work with, especially with the plastic pieces which stick to the vacuum seal plastic like they are permanent. ... show more
