My contender top is slightly lower than the regular one, so it is difficult to find a stool of perfect height that fits pretty well. Also, please double-check the height and ensure they match what you need. I have two cats, so I can't use any fabric chair, and this one is made of leather-like material, which is perfect for cat owners (my cats do not like leather). This chair will eventually transform into a pool table chair for my new mancave, and I like it’s modern gray color. It will fits really well!! The assembly is pretty straightforward—there is no need for additional tools. I will say it may not be one of the best deals for the value, but it is definitely worth the price. For the ones who comment on the returning policy, my suggestions are if they do not fit, do not put all chairs up; do one and see if you like it. It is pretty hard to pack them back into the box. And shipping can be very challenging.

I bought these chairs and my mistake, I didn’t see that they were counter height and not bar stool height. I received them, knew immediately and requested a return. They come from China and the return slip from Amazon had them going back to China. I then received an email from the company saying they would give me a partial refund of $135 and highly suggested I keep the chairs. I said I would like a full refund and to return them, they said to mail them to California instead of using the label Amazon gave (at my own cost) and they would refund the rest when they received them. Of course shipping for boxes this size is more than the refund would be so I’m stuck with chairs I don’t want and out $170. They are decent chairs, not high quality, not low and we would have liked them if the height were different. But be careful, they are basically not refundable since they come from China.

I have been searching home stores for some time. The counter height stools I liked were either too expensive or not comfortable. When it comes to furniture, I like to see, touch and feel in person. With that said, it’s a great leap for me to buy these online without trying it out first. Reading through the reviews helped me make the decision to buy. I am pleasantly surprised with the prompt delivery, ease of assembly, the chairs were just as described, pictured and comfortable. I’m very pleased with my purchase!
