  • 1000 watt ebiike DIY kit
Style: 1000w Front
Came exactly as described battery bag and controller bag both have no holes in them for the wires to pass through so I had to use my stuff from the previous kit...that however was the only issues I had motor works great as well as the display and the brakes..everything responds as it should and went for a ten mile ride 7had no issues at all. Install is very straight forward and easy to do top speed is about 30 mph and has great power for the hills..Al, in all ...if you have your controller bag from a previous kit then you'll be all set....great seller ... show more

  • Excellent conversion kit
Style: 1500w Rear
Pros: - All the power you should need. I live in a very hilly area and only need to pedal to assist the motor up the very steepest hill (it's a struggle to walk up that one and would be unsafe to sled down). - As simple as a kit like this can get. There are a lot of things that need to be done to safely convert a bike, and I can't think of any step that wasn't already as simple as possible. - Excellent display and controller. Does everything I want, viewable in direct sunlight. - Insanely cheap. For me it was cheaper to buy this kit, a battery, and a bike (if I didn't have one already) than a much lower-spec e-bike premade. - Good build quality. None of the parts feel fragile, and I'm not worried about them failing prematurely. Cons: - Had to widen the dropout on my bike to fit the motor. The rear dropout on my bike was 135mm wide, and I had to widen it to 150mm to fit the wheel. Fortunately my frame is steel, so a few minutes pulling the forks apart (and then re-straightening the dropouts) did the trick. ... show more

  • Nice that it's all in the package, just add battery
Style: 1000w Front
Put this kit on a cheap Vevor adult tricycle. Takes a bit of mechanical know-how to get it to work but you have all the parts to do it except a battery kit. A few tips I found the hard way: 1) as another reviewer noted, the instructions are terrible and don't tell you which direction to install the front wheel kit. As you lay the wheel assembly flat with the wire cable sticking up and the word Pexmor visible, the hub will spin clockwise, so that's the right-hand (starboard) side. 2) The kit comes with a torque arm assembly that looks horribly tacky, depends on a thin hose clamp to hold the end of the arm; but I noticed that the hole in the washer end of the kit happened to line up with one on my fork--all I had to do was drill it out slightly and put a bolt in it. Just watch the clearance to the screws in the main hub! 3) Someone else pointed out that the throttle was touchy, and they're right. No easy fix, either, maybe somebody has tried a better twist throttle? Reprogramming the throttle ramp in the controller is beyond us ordinary mortals. It is possible to get away from a stop sign at a sane rate but you must have a delicate touch. Someone else said theirs would do burnouts but mine won't on asphalt, just loose dirt. 4) I'm thinking I bought too big a battery--I've got 15 miles on the first charge and the battery meter still reads full. I got a 48V20AH LIPO, I think a 10AH battery would still be overkill. 5) Instructions again: they say long-press the speed-up button to turn on the headlight BUT DON'T TRY IT! I was standing next to the trike and it nearly ran me over when I did that. The light just comes on when you power the system up with the "M" button. ... show more

  • Stuck freewheel useless product!
Style: 1000w Rear
The media could not be loaded. After assembling my hub motor kit from Pexmor and installing it on my bike. I noticed the chain kept holding tension and would kick itself off when you stopped pedaling. So after some disassembly, I found the freewheel to be jammed not spinning properly. Of course at this point, I contacted the seller to see if I could get a new part. They responded by asking me to post a YouTube video and send them the URL… Not very good customer service! So instead I’m posting a review so everybody can see what they’re getting themselves into. Also, I purchased a freewheel removal tool but nothing fits over the hub motor axle shaft. So even though I have a working freewheel to use, I cannot separate the two parts. ... show more

  • Very heavy!
Style: 1000w Front
between a 20 ah battery, the 1000 watt motor, the extra large frame, and 29 inch mountain bike tires, this kit is a lot to handle. install was relatively simple and i even traded it off of the 29in mtb to a 26 inch with dual suspension to see if i could increase maneuverability, but not enough of a difference for me! max distance on full throttle has been a whimpy 23 miles. speed upwards of 35 MPH though which is something i was thrilled with off the first ride. simply, unless you have a crazy nice battery, 1000W is going to be too much weight and too much power being drawn at once from the battery. if you do get this motor, buy a separate compatible throttle because the turn one sucks and is too sensitive. probably going to look into mid drives next because pennsylvania is too hilly for hub motors. ... show more

  • Controller Box had some issues
Style: 1000w Rear
Everything came well-packaged. The assembly was relatively easy, and I was happy to see everything looked okay at first glance. But after having the system assembled I noticed there was some faulty wiring with the controller box. I bought a Bafang headlight and hooked it up to the headlight wires (hold the down button to turn headlight on/off) but found the headlight only shutoff with the power rather than the intended switch. Which means the controller's wiring has a problem. Additionally the PAS isn't working and there is no way to access several functions in the settings panel (P011-P015). The latter might be mine own fault, but have read similar problems from other consumers, and the headlight function can only be a controller defect. That said, I am trying to get support from customer service. Overall, I would recommend getting a 1500watt motor, making sure you have the right wheel, and exploring other companies; perhaps with a better market-footprint. ... show more
