    • A great motor kit for the price but... i would still read before you buy :3

I purchased this about a year ago and i have run over 2600 miles on this motor alone on my E bike. My bike frame is heavier than most frames at 125 pounds and this one wheel alone is capable of pushing that and my weight of approx.160 pounds all together at up to 32 mph so it is quite powerful and i have towed a trailer with 200 pounds in it at up to 25 mph with just this one motor. The ONLY issue i see here is the insulation on the main 3 phase motor wires will crack apart over time and this can lead to a short so for anyone who bought this kit check your wires before every ride. I would recommend that Pexmor uses more flexible silicone insulated wire for the main 3 phase motor wires if possible as this would increase the safety of the motor. In light of this i can only give this kit 3 stars due to the motor cable degradation over time but other than that its a great kit for the money and the motor its self has lasted 2600+ miles so i am happy with it. ... show more

    • Stuck freewheel useless product!

The media could not be loaded. After assembling my hub motor kit from Pexmor and installing it on my bike. I noticed the chain kept holding tension and would kick itself off when you stopped pedaling. So after some disassembly, I found the freewheel to be jammed not spinning properly. Of course at this point, I contacted the seller to see if I could get a new part. They responded by asking me to post a YouTube video and send them the URL… Not very good customer service! So instead I’m posting a review so everybody can see what they’re getting themselves into. Also, I purchased a freewheel removal tool but nothing fits over the hub motor axle shaft. So even though I have a working freewheel to use, I cannot separate the two parts. ... show more

    • Controller Box had some issues

Everything came well-packaged. The assembly was relatively easy, and I was happy to see everything looked okay at first glance. But after having the system assembled I noticed there was some faulty wiring with the controller box. I bought a Bafang headlight and hooked it up to the headlight wires (hold the down button to turn headlight on/off) but found the headlight only shutoff with the power rather than the intended switch. Which means the controller's wiring has a problem. Additionally the PAS isn't working and there is no way to access several functions in the settings panel (P011-P015). The latter might be mine own fault, but have read similar problems from other consumers, and the headlight function can only be a controller defect. That said, I am trying to get support from customer service. Overall, I would recommend getting a 1500watt motor, making sure you have the right wheel, and exploring other companies; perhaps with a better market-footprint. ... show more
