Had the coop for about 4 months before the chickens arrived. So far has weathered fine minus the wood shrinking up a bit. The latch to the egg box was a little tight but with use has loosened up. Currently have 5 barred rock pullets in it and they all fit beautifully. Gave it four stars instead of 5 because it doesn't easily fit a feeder and can't fit a decent size feeder and waterer at the same time. I had to remove a roost to make room for the feeder. It would also benefit if the roof came with hinges instead of being fixed as the doors are slender so adding or removing things can be a chore. But my chickens seem happy with the system we have so all in all a good coop for the cost.

This review is for the white and brown coop. I believe I am the first person to buy and review this product. First off I will say it looks great. Really cute house for your chickens. However, there are several defects with this product that made me have to rig up several areas. The pull out tray seems is missing a rail for support. One side has a built in piece of wood that acts as a rail for this, but it's missing on the opposite side. See in the pictures. I had to cut and use a piece of wood to hold it up from underneath (like a pillar). Also this pull out tray givea you maybe a half inch of bedding room when pulling it out. If you have any more bedding it will all just spill out. It's pretty much useless, unless you are doing a deep clean. The roosting bars are only about 3 inches from the ground and when you add your bedding, that means it's at ground level. They are lower than the nesting box! Anyone who knows anything about hens knows why this is a major flaw. The fittings for the bars are not removable so I had to screw them into a different area in the house myself. There are two buckles to connect the house to the run that are used for the front. But there are no buckles or mentions of buckles for the back. So that area can easily be pulled apart, which can easily cause the front side to bend and break. I hope the makers of this coop see this review and correct these major design flaws. Until then, consider this coop The Handyman's Special.

(1) Instructions on assembly were insufficient only English that was furnished was not understandable Went online to get more information and services details for wooden products assembling was "dead end" the product Item SHWA00101 could not be found (2) catch pan was 3/4 inch from frame area, had to add 2/2's for it to work. (3) cage to body was 1/2 inch off after being squared (4) wood seemed to be faded with cracks noted in some items, with paint peeling. (5) No info on U-Tub about this particular product I would NOT purchase this product again.

So disappointed in the quality and lack of follow-up by company. They dismissed flaws as a normal process. Did say they would address the lack of directions given with item I found a product that was comparable with excellent reviews for 289.99. I chose to keep your product as it was agreed I’d get a better price and it would come sooner. I received your product and I’ve assembled. I have to say it is sub par. I’ve found dowels missing in seems. Errors made and filled with putty and redrilling made by you. No predrilled holes on hinged areas causing cracks in wood. I did replace the one piece of wood, then predrilled holes prior to putting screws in. I will be rating it a 1. It would be a 0 if it allowed me to rate. I am also familiar with wood working but a person who is not, would have problems with your limited directions. The quality of the wood and the sparingly use of paint on wood would require me to repaint and seal if I want it to last more than a year. I believe you are stalling so I will exceed my return period. I do not want to disassemble at this point and I don’t think you want a return. I am waiting on a fair compensation offer or will get it returned by June 4.

I bought this for 4 full size chickens. They fit, but it’s pretty tight. Overall I am pretty happy with it, though it definitely is not for all weather.

Price was great and impressed by the size. My son put it together pretty fast, wasn't sturdy enough to suit him so he added wood glue to the parts and got it very sturdy. We're new at chicken raising but our set-up looks like it's going to work out great. Felt the chicken run part of the coop would be a bit crowded when the chicks grew up, hence adding the walk in chicken run.

Although it was fairly easy to assemble and does look nice it is made with low quality cheap materials. Very lightweight I anticipate the wind ripping it apart within the first 3 months. Disappointed would not recommend. Latches and Hardware also low-quality and do not really fit or secure properly. Using it temporarily better off building one out of pallets. Also not accurate with its size recommendations. This would not properly house for regular sized chickens
