For those of you who didnā€™t know, cats have bacteria in their mouths that will get into the water. That means youā€™ll have to constantly change stagnant water bowls every 2-3 days. Iā€™ve owned/babysat many cats and the majority of them will refuse to drink until it is cleaned. I used standard bowls in the past and cleaning was extremely tedious. I had used plastic bowls and there was always a slimy film that built up so I had to scrub multiple times until it was clean. Furthermore, you donā€™t want to dehydrate cats as that may lead to medical issues with their kidneys(?). Idk there is some medical condition where if they donā€™t get enough water it can cause issues long term. Suffice it to say, the price is well worth it, the double filter option works great, and the water provides a calming background noise. Itā€™s not completely silent, so if you get annoyed by any sound, donā€™t get this. If you donā€™t mind a very low white noise, then this is perfect. We clean the bowl every 3 weeks by putting it in the dishwasher. The pump and filter assembly is incredibly easy to assemble and disassemble. Lastly, the square design butts up nicely against furniture. Also, our kitten has learned to drink from the top of the fountain assembly, so you donā€™t have to worry about the dimensions, or if your cat/kitten is too smol. We currently have one kitten, but the omnidirectional design shouldnā€™t be an issue for multiple cats either. I have zero complaints about the fountain, the lack of constant cleaning is a huge plus, and our furry little bastard drinks water on the regular. I don't generally write reviews, but I just got off the phone with this companies customer care and I could not be happier. First, I want to say there was absolutely nothing wrong with my product. I have had it for a few months now and both I and my cat love it! She drinks more water now, which makes me happy, and the fountain is pretty quiet. I can't hear the motor at all, the only thing I can hear is the light splashing of the water as it falls. Which I actually find very calming. I was a bit hesitant about investing the money in this fountain, but it is worth every penny. It's easy to wash (I have both hand washed it and put it in the dishwasher and nothing has happened to it), easy to reassemble, and the filters and motor are a much better quality than any of the ones you will find on a cheaper fountain. I have gone through many cheaper fountains that the motor breaks, the filters don't work, the slim builds up fast, and they are plastic. I haven't had any problems like that with this one and I don't have to worry about my cat drinking from plastic. Anyway, on to what I wanted to say about their customer care. I accidentally lost the plastic cover that goes over the cord inside the fountain (100% my fault, it's not even that small of a piece. I must have accidentally tossed it while I was cleaning the fountain), so I called customer care and spoke with one of their representatives. She was incredibly nice and they said they would send me out a replacement cover as a courtesy. I couldn't be happier! It's nice to have a company that seems to care about it's clients. (Also, none of the cheaper fountains I have ever used had a cover for their cord in the fountain, so this is a wonderful addition. I'm glad they thought of it) If you are thinking if you should invest the money into a fountain like this one, I would for sure recommend it.     • Nice fountain, a little loud
The porcelain is a nice look and better than plastic in my opinion. It looks nicer in a room than a metal fountain, and the cats like the water streams (although they don't come too far out from the main base). Only complaint is that the trickling sound is pretty loud compared to other fountains, the water is just very splashy. And the replacement filters are overpriced. Hopefully the pump/motor lasts for a long time as that seems to be the first thing to break in these things. ... show more
