I used this carrier for my 2 cats to travel several hours. They are both just under a year old. There was plenty of room for both of them and they were both very comfortable. I did open one side of it because one of them got car sick so she just laid beside me. But at times she went in with the other cat and curled up with him. There is plenty of air flow. I haven’t had the chance to travel with this just yet but so far I am happy with the product. Good material, very easy setup. The main thing for me was height so that my cat could fully sit up in the carrier and she can. She is 13 pounds with a relatively petite build. I was worried it wouldn’t be sturdy like the plastic one I had before this but that’s not a problem it is very secure and the fabric is tight so it doesn’t cave in at all. ... show more

We drove cross country from east to west and the carrier was great. Our cat could lay down, turn around, sit and stand in complete comfort. With the open mesh sides the cat was able to see in various directions. Putting the cat in was easy with the door in the top as well as the side. The carrier was easy to put together and take apart. My 14 year-old cat hates travel, and he screamed the entire three-hour car ride, even with calming treats… UGH! But at least he had ample space, good airflow, and could see out of the carrier. If you have a calm cat, they will be even more comfortable… this is a nice carrier.

This generous sized carrier has changed my 12 lb cat's attitude about car rides. She used to meow and stress so much she would pant and have open mouth breathing. This gives her lots of ways to see out and room to stand and move around. I fold down the back seat in my Honda Accord to get it in and hook it into the seat belt in the back seat. I ordered the green and realized it didn’t have the nice carrier strap that my blue one I purchased for a bit more money from another seller, but I’m still really happy with it and it’s great and spacious for cats when I have to take them in the car. I have 3 cats who weigh 12-15 pounds each and this is the perfect sized carrier. I’m a fan of soft-sided carriers, which I leave open throughout the house for the cats to hang out in. As you can see, Toby took to this one right away! Two things that stand out to me are 1. The fixed base (the top can be collapsed but not the bottom) and fabric reinforcement around the bottom corners. These make it sturdier for my chonky 15 pounder 2. The 17 inch height. Many other carriers with the same footprint are 20+ inches tall. This one’s shorter height allows me to put it in the front passages seat of my Prius without compromising visibility. The AI synopsis for this listing somehow states that there is no shoulder strap. Mine did include one. Would definitely recommend, but would suggest getting separate ones for each cat. ... show more

Both of my cats love their “cat cave”! We bought two of them in case we wanted to transport them. They love laying in them. These carriers are super sturdy, easy to put together and seem easy enough to collapse again but we haven’t done that as the cats lay in them every day!
