I have tried several versions of auto feeders and this one has been my favorite. It's not wifi enabled so you'll have to adjust the time every spring and fall. It's pretty easy to program overall but maybe hang on to the directions until you've mastered it 😂 I'm fortunate to have an outlet near the feeding spot and the battery back up has been working perfectly for over a year now (helps with power outages and not having to reprogram, or moving and cleaning). The hopper keeps the food fresh and so far my monsters haven't been able to break into it! I also have this in black, which looks really nice but it's so hard to see the buttons to program it. I was worried the white would look dirty but it's easy enough to wipe down. If color isn't a concern for you I'd totally recommend the white (and I have decent eye sight). ... show more

Working great so far--have been using it for about a month now. Although it's marketed more for cats or small dogs, I've been using it to feed a 60 lb dog. I needed something to automatically feed my dog while I'm away for a couple of days. Kibble size of my dry dog food is right at the maximum listed for this feeder. I had to put my dog on 3 meals per day instead of 2 meals that I originally had her on. The dish is not deep and large enough to dispense the full amount needed for my dog's 2 meal/day schedule. The food dispenser stops when the food chute get's blocked when the bowl gets full. So I spread that same amount over 3 meals each day. I still gave it 5 stars since most users will be for cats or small dogs. My dog hears the dispenser when food is served and comes running. When I'm away from home, I monitor it with a separate wireless security camera that I can access with an app on my phone. ... show more

Our dog woke me up almost every day at 5:30 a.m. wanting to be fed. Now he’s automatically fed and I can sleep a few hours longer. It’s a great product.

Love the tilted metal dish. Very nice overall! Gives out perfect serving for my cat. I tried others where it was too much food! Lid is not as pet safe as they claim. My smart cat found a way to open it with his nose. So i have to tape one side. My other cat still love to dig in hole with paw and still gets a few kibbles. I wish the digital clock was more visible, i have to lay in front of it to see the time…. Which i need to keep in sinc with other feeder. I also like to put small amount of water in dish so when kibbles come down my cat has to take in extra water too. Perfect since they never drink enough when eating dry food. ... show more

No more early morning wake up calls or afternoon disturbances. My cat is 11 months old, for the first four months after adopting her every single morning she would wake me up at 6am by scratching my bed, messing with me or knocking things around in my bedroom because she wanted to be fed. Even with closing the door she would mess with things outside of my room! In the afternoons she would start trouble up again when it came within 30 minutes of her feeding time. This was very annoying as I work from home.. I decided to test out an automatic feeder because I read other reviews that it stopped cats from messing with their owners because they no longer rely on you for the food.. I don't know if this works for every cat but it DEFINITELY worked in my case. After only one time of the feeder going off she stopped messing with me all together.. I was shocked. It is so nice to be able to sleep in or if I do go into the office I don't have to rush home to feed her because she is taken care of! This feeder is amazing I have nothing bad to say about it. The capacity that it hold so far has lasted me over a month which is so awesome. Also my cat is on a strict diet because she was starting to get overweight and this has helped tremendously with making sure she only gets the set amount she is supposed to each day! I think the voice recording feature is so cool. Since I live in a small apartment I don't have to use it because my cat hears when the food pours into the bowl and darts for it but if I was in a house I would probably use the voice feature. I read some reviews about the blue light being too bright.. I will say it is bright but I do not mind it I like that I can tell it is on from afar because you have to get relatively close to view the clock display. Also the added feature of having a battery compartment incase the power goes out is very nice, I did have my power go out and she was still fed! I was worried she might try to get into the food since she can see it and she typically bites the cat food bag if she gets into the pantry but the lock on top is very secure and she has not tried messing with it. I one hundred percent recommend this item, I will never go back to not having an automatic feeder :) ... show more
