Being able to remove and clean everything without having to deal with cords is also a plus. Build quality seems top notch and looks great. The media could not be loaded. For my first cat water fountain I chose to go with the inexpensive "flower" fountain, which the kitties loved. However, it would randomly clog and overflow, which caused it to periodically drench the mat below and eventually... fry my floor outlet despite my best efforts to protect it. I questioned whether buying another fountain was worth the risk and finally broke down to purchase this one, along with a silicone mat with a lip. I just got this set up so I cant comment on its longterm functionality. The design is amazing... I purchased the black and it is sleek and I love the wood grain. It was easy to assemble and all components come apart for thorough cleaning (something that my previous fountain did not do, which I believe eventually led to it becoming scummy very soon after cleaning). So the ability to clean it is HUGE for me. By far the coolest feature, which I did not notice until I received it, is that the water reservoir lifts from the base that powers it. It works by magic like a wireless phone charger. This means that I don't have to unplug the unit to clean or refill it, and I dont risk the cord getting wet during cleaning. The cord is also a braided/protected wire with a C port so it is not as easily damaged by kitty teeth and can be replaced. Additional positives... its quiet and the app will alert me if the water level is low... this is an absolute must because the walls are not transparent so determining water levels is impossible. I just hope the app is accurate! For the above reasons, this fountain was money well spent! ... show more

Trying to get my 70 pound chow chow to eat and drink is pretty much a constant battle. If one thing is slightly off, she will not go near them and what that off thing is constantly changes. This week she suddenly decided she hates bowls. How do you give a dog water not in a bowl??? Apparently in a petlibro fountain. I almost didn't buy this since it says nothing about being good for dogs. I was worried the bowl might be too shallow. But it was hard to find another pet fountain that didn't have some kind of annoying bright light on it. Seems to work just fine for dogs. She loves it and is drinking so much more water, with no more fights about it. Still battling it out over her food, but I'll take the W on this one. It's also whisper quiet. This sits in my bedroom so it's a huge plus that it's not noisy or bright and is pretty sleek looking. I paid $65 for it. Most other fountains I looked at were around $40, but I'd say this is well worth the extra $25 to not disrupt my sleep AND keep my pup hydrated. The app is kinda meh. I am so happy to have found a good quality stainless steel fountain. On top of that, it looks amazing. It is so difficult to find modern designed pet supplies that blend seamlessly into decor. PetLibro managed to have good looks and function. It was easy to assemble, so far no leakage, and both my dog and cat find drinking from it easy. My poodle actually drinks at the fountain versus the pool now given the height of the water fountain and it’s the cutest thing. My cat likewise sips from the fountain instead of the side. My favorite part of this is the fact that I am alerted when the water is low and additionally when to change the filter. With a busy life, the filter can fall to the wayside but now not anymore. The only thing I’d probably do less of is notifications of when someone drank water. Helpful I guess if your pet has some kind of ailment and you need to track that, but far too much data for every day use. Our pets have been hydrating themselves naturally for centuries without us knowing, don’t think it something that I wanted to consider. ... show more

I really love this because the base stays plugged into the wall and the bowl that needs to be refilled and cleaned is removable and I don't have to worry about the wires getting wet. Size: decent size and enough water to run all day for 4 cats Quietness: I honestly don't even know its running most of the time. Very quiet and I love it!
