I have a mini dachshund who needs a secure place sometimes because she is skiddish and for general safety. I don't suggest leaving the dog alone unaccompanied in this, but my dog was not able to finagle her way out of here at all. It was comfortable and she had plenty of room to move around. We bought this bag for our new chihuahua puppy and it's great! I think the value is unparalleled as it is a reasonably low priced bag, but constructed with quality in mind. I've purchased several carriers, some on the high end ($90) and others on the lower end and you simply can't beat this for the value. It is a very "open" bag, as all sides have highly durable coated mesh windows that so far seem impervious to the sharpest of puppy teeth. The size is great for small dogs. I would recommend it for dogs under 6-7lbs. It has two good pockets (one mesh and one cloth w/zipper that hold the essentials for your travel, a nice set of handles and shoulder strap, and comes with a great little travel food/water bowl! It also stands up well and does not collapse. The bed cushion is perfectly fine but nothing fancy. I wasn't expecting much since the price of the bag was so low, but it's better quality than I expected for the price. We always add a little blanket for added comfort and warmth. If you are looking for something on a budget, this is your bag. If you are searching with no budget, this still could be your bag as it checks all the right boxes for chilling at home and traveling. ... show more

Strap snapped immediately when I tried to pick it up with my 15lb cat in it so I had to carry him around the airports like Paris Hilton, leaving a pretty gnarly rash on my arm. My cat enjoys this carrier so much. It has a long strap, short straps, multiple zippers that can be locked, a sturdy slightly cushioned surface to give support when your animal is being transported, and the cushion is removable and washable. It also has loops for a seat belt when travelling and is airplane approved. I love the fleece panel at the bottom, and that it buckles into the car seat. It opens on both sides just in case you need to help you cat come out of the carrier from the back. The strap is sturdy and adjustable. I bought this to bring my cat with me on a 4 hour drive and I left it out so she could get used to it and she went right in as soon as I unboxed it. I can carry it on my shoulder and it has a sturdy flat bottom for her comfort. I tried the totes that snuggle to me but after a while she'd want out because she got hot or uncomfortable. I’m gobsmacked at the quality of this item. Wow! Can’t believe how well it is made. Nice looking too. Definitely buy the larger one if you have a cat over 10 pounds. I bought the smaller one first and it was too small. My cats love it, and it will store well under my bed. But in the meantime, they are having too much fun napping in it.
