Time to put together was around 30-45 minutes solo. A second person would be nice for the first few steps. It has several Phillips screws to attach so have a screwdriver handy. My German Shepherd dogs are 8 months old, and both go into one LARGE doghouse. They are aggressive chewers, so I didn't give much hope to the door entrance lasting long, but they haven't chewed on it once yet. There is an igloo doghouse in their pen, but they prefer this one. Over-all, it has been a good investment, but I wouldn't use this in much colder climates without added protection such as cedar shavings or hay and a cover over the entrance. ... show more

Perfect size. Assembly for one person was a little bit of a pain but once you get the roof and side up, it all fits fine after. The only thing that I really don’t like is that the inside has sharp plastic ends. My little one likes to roll around and build her little cocoon with her blankets and fear she’ll hurt herself if she’s being a bit rowdy. water would def get inside if you want this for outside. ... show more

Bought this to put on my front porch for a stray kitty that has adopted me. He does use it from time to time, and probably will use more as weather gets colder. Was disappointed that the bedding I had placed inside got soaked when it rained, though I'm not sure if water blew in through doorway, or if roof leaked. Wet bedding inside defeats the purpose of providing this cathouse as a warm, dry place for the kitty. Will try to determine where water came from. Sturdy sure but not very comfortable. And to return it they charge like 15-20 dollars. Runs small inside. Bulky on the outside. And it’s not easy to put together either. not worth it for the price. To begin the build of the doggy house is very easy and simple, took me and my wife with a toddler around thirteen minutes give or take. Once built the house looks great, very sturdy and firm. My pug is still getting used to it, but so far so good. I would recommend.
