Very good large dog house. We have 2 Australian Shepherds that are medium sized dogs, and we needed a large dog house for them to share. They are outdoor dogs and we needed a dog house that is warm and sturdy. We are in Nebraska so it has to be well made to keep them warm in the winter. It has insulation that is attached to the top, bottom and sides and is a solidly made. We keep it on our patio so it is out of the wind. We also put straw on the floor for bedding, and the dogs are very comfortable with it. The plastic strips that fit over the opening are a good feature to keep it warm in the winter and keep the wind out. The strips attach with a bar that screws onto the frame. I remove it in the summer when they need the ventilation. It is hard to find a quality dog house that is large enough to hold 2 medium size dogs, and I am real pleased with this. The only downside is that the shipping is very expensive, but the package is large and heavy, so that is unavoidable. Make sure to take your time to carefully read the instructions and put it together correctly. ... show more

Quality materials, reasonably easy for one person to assemble until the very last steps where I needed a second hand. Roomy, plenty big enough for my 80 pound pup, who took to it immediately. Nice design so that the dog can get inside, away from the opening, to keep warm. Good insulation held on by Velcro, can easily be removed in nicer weather. (I do wish they'd used a little more aggressive Velcro.) For what you get, the price is pretty reasonable, though the shipping was costly. All-in-all, my dog and I are quite happy with the house and consider it worth what we spent. ... show more

I bought the largest size so both my dogs could hopefully fit in it. Both dogs are between 80-90lbs and could fit if curled up, probably not stretched out. See pic for size comparison. First off, I put this together myself but would highly recommend having a second person just because the pieces are heavy enough and cumbersome. Especially when you start putting the roof on. Having someone to hold it open would’ve been nice. Also power tools are required for most of the assembly. Second, Weight limit says 180lbs and although I weight about 40lbs less than that, the floor felt really sturdy when I had to stand on it to put the roof on. Third, some of the instructions are confusing and I had to start over once. Also right off the bat I had to strip some of the plastic from the footings to be able to put the metal corner pieces in them (was literally the first two steps). Fourth, the insulation is nice because it has zippers that you can unzip and put in the wash if needed. Overall I would buy again but definitely do a few things differently ... show more

I’m so glad I paid a little more and got this super large wooden doghouse instead of the cheaper plastic ones. Everything about it is high-quality and it has serious insulation The $120 shipping fee made me think twice but when it came I understood. It comes in two big boxes each of which require two men to pick up. Even including the shipping, I think the whole thing is a bargain… I couldn’t build one for that price.
