I was pretty skeptical about this magic tooth powder. Izzy, our Labrador Retriever, fights us tooth and nail (pun intended) to brush her teeth. But, she has tartar on her upper teeth. We tried this product to see if it could perform miracles. And...surprisingly it has! Not only does Izzy have much better breath, but the tartar and plaque have been fading a lot more after using it every day for a month. I read from other reviewers that it gets even better after a few months of daily use. The only con, is Izzy is very drooly from this product. Part of how it works is increasing saliva, so she has been giving us very wet kisses :) But, it's a small price to pay for our baby having clean teeth! ... show more

    • Surprised it's working
I adopted my sweet Yorkie who had spent her life breeding and didn't receive much care. She came to me with the worse breath, tartar build-up, and crowded teeth. Just bringing her home made my car stink like her breath. I tried everything my other dogs used ... dental chews, chewing toys, even special dog "breath mints". She is one sad puppy. Until her appointment with the vet, I started adding this to her food. With little hope of any results. One week later, and I have either gotten used to the smell, or it's starting to work! After the vet appointment, I will work with my precious girl as I have with puppies. Getting used to my finger near her mouth. Letting her chew on the end of a towel moistened with dental toothpaste. Gradually, at her pace, move to brushing her teeth gently every day. She is such a timid little thing, but as I am a recent widow I have time to give her to patiently come around. ... show more

    • Helps with bad breath, but tartar is still there
I've been mixing this powder with my dog's wet food for about a month. He doesn't like the taste, so it has to be well mixed. He still has the scaly tartar, no sign that it may go away. But his breath is much more tolerable!

    • Packaging is terrible
While I don't think the product does much. My dog still has terrible breath and plaque after 2 bottles. I won't buy again just for the packaging. You need child hands to get the scoop out of the bottle. Either make the bottle shorter and wider or the scoop longer.
