I got this beautiful kitchen faucet from Amazon for $49.99. For the price, I'm not expecting miracles. However, what I got in return does feel like I've paid a lot more than I did. There is a good amount of weight and haft to the faucet and the matte black coating is absolutely stunning. It's a good change of scenery from the usual chrome and brushed finishings of our other facets. While I don't actually expect the finishing to last a lifetime and will eventually peel away, I'm hoping I can at least get two to three years before it does. Below I'll detail some tips I got while installing this faucet. Being that this may also be your first "big" DIY project for many of you, I hope these tips (in no particular order of importance) will help someone out there. 1. If you've watched kitchen installations videos prior to installation like myself, then you'd realize that yes, it's as simple as turning off the hot and cold shutoff valves as your first step. My tip here is that anytime you are dealing with the valves coming out of the wall, you absolutely DO NOT want to use brute strength to cause stress on the pipings behind the wall. This is true especially if you live in an older house or apartment. You'll be in a world of hurt if you actually do damage them so be extra careful. 2. Many a time in my opinion, you're paying money to experts and professionals not only for their knowledge BUT for the tools they are using as well. A job is made a lot easier if you have the right tools before you start the actual job. The main tool I had to use to loosen the nuts on the valves is called a groove joint plier. This worked so much better than a regular grip plier because it allows you to not only get a maximum grip on the nut without slippage but also allows maximum torque as well. If there is a nut in a high-to-reach area where a regular plier wouldn't work, you need to get a tool called a basin wrench. Just trust me on this. 3. On both of the hot and cold supply lines of this new faucet there is a blue cap covering the ends (prevents dust from going in during shipping?). These two caps are extremely hard to remove. I broke the tip of a box cutter as well as injured my fingernails trying to pry the cap loose. 4. The faucet comes with two 3/8 to 1/2 inch adapters. The problem I had is that the adapter fit my hot valve without any issues. However, it would not fit the cold valve as the adapter was larger. I tried putting in the included o-ring first but it wouldn't thread at all. I had to finally go to the department store to ask for help. Turns out that although the valve is still 1/2 inches, it's a "compression valve", which is smaller. Therefore, I had to purchase a 3/8 to 1/2 inch compression adapter. Pros: - Easy to install once if you have the right tools ahead of time - Looks amazing - Extremely good water pressure - No water leakage at all Cons: - Water stains are common (I knew this would be true prior to purchase, will have to just wipe excess water around the base plate each time) - Harder to control water pressure (just a matter of getting used to this style of faucet handle as all previous ones we used had the handle on the top instead of on the side and swinging it right to left for temperature instead of front to back)

This kitchen faucet is far better than expected! I ordered this item because of its looks and based off of other reviews; but mostly because it had same day delivery and my old faucet was leaking all over my counter. This was a blessing in disguise because this thing upgraded the look of my kitchen and it's built very well. The install was very simple and effective. The Kohler that I replaced was an over thought hot mess of an install and removal and that thing cost 4 times as much as this one. This new faucet has 3/8" connections, but it also comes with adapters to make them 1/2". This saves a trip to the hardware store on the off chance you have 1/2" supplies from your valves. If you need to use the baseplate, it has a straight side and a side that has a curve to it. I used the curved side on my installation to match the lines of my sink. If you opt not to use the baseplate, there is an o-ring on the base of the faucet so you won't have an unsightly gasket showing. They also include four extra water line filters for future replacement purposes. This is likely for me with the hard water where I live. I can't come up with any negatives (I haven't had it installed for more than 24 hours), but if I do I will update my review.

I love this retractable faucet. It’s very modern farmhouse looking and I put one in my laundry room. You’ve got a high-end look without the expensive price. I’ve never had issues with it. Any turning or staining and it works perfect. I definitely would buy again. Great product.

Beautiful! Light to manage and very easy to install, took me less than 10 minutes. The only reason for which I gave it 4* is that the aerator is not removable. But, I can live with that since it is very easy to install and uninstall to replace. And the price is great. Love it!

I was skeptical at first of ordering this because of all of the reviews they were talking about it being for a boat or an RV but I’m glad I did it fits perfectly in my standard kitchen. Beautiful unique design, easy to instal, all around a great product especially for the price! Highly recommend!

This faucet looks nice and works for smaller spaces. However, after a few months the spout began clogging and the water didn't come out in a straight stream. We bought a kit to try to fix it, but that didn't work. Can't recommend a faucet that defects in just a few months.

The media could not be loaded. Great matte finish! This makes the look even more elegant in my opinion. The hoses are made of a stronger sturdy braid like material, that holds up longer. Everything was clearly labeled and makes installation much nicer. The instructions are clear to follow. I like the shorter type faucets, they splatter water less. Has great water flow too. Fittings work with my standard kitchen. All inclusive kit, with everything you need.

This is the best faucet for around $75 I've ever had. We remodeled our kitchen and needed an inexpensive faucet quickly thinking it would just be temporary until we found something better, like a $500 Grohe faucet that we replaced with this one only because it was 16 years old and tired of the stainless steel look. Turns out that this faucet is just fine. Looks great, flow rate is good, sprayer is powerful, and overall the best faucet we've ever had and at an incredible price! Installation was pretty easy too. Highly recommend this faucet! For the money, it's hard to beat!
