First off, no leaks, comes apart and goes back together easy. Good top. If you watched the youtube video bestop made on installing this, or more accurately, installing the 4 door model and saying "the 2 door model is basically the same", you will learn that isn't quite true. The instructions are well enough, if you know what an Ikea is, and the only miff I have is there are NOT little zip pockets to hold things. My main advice is test out the latches that are attached to the door frame pieces. (What keeps it from sliding back when you flip just the front part open like a moon roof.) One of mine didn't want to connect, but they are the same as the OEM latches, so I was able to swap it out for one of my old ones and it worked out fine. ... show more

    • On the fence? Don't think twice, just get it - You won't regret it!
Install took me about 4 hours, including removing my old factory sunrider top - Simple tools required, and I installed it by myself aside from one or two steps. DEFINITELY need to install on a warm day, in the sun in order for it to fit easily on the first try. It fits tight, but I would be disappointed if it didn't. Couple parts of the install were tricky to do by myself and required an extra set of hands to help hold while I installed some of the screws. As far as the quality goes, I couldn't be happier. This is truly a PREMIUM quality soft top, the Twill fabric feels and looks luxurious. The tinted windows look great as well. The function of the glide windows is brilliant, there's no going back to zippers after you install this. The ONLY down side I can think of however - The windows, when removed, have stiff frames on some of the sides, and cannot be rolled into a window sleeve type carrier. I would not really want to carry the windows with me in the jeep (I have a 2-door jk). There isn't a good way to roll them, and they would take up a lot of space in the back of the jeep and be hard to protect from scratching. You have to commit to no windows if you venture out without them, otherwise, couldn't be happier with the top! A final note: I had a damaged part when my top arrived. I was able to install the top using this damaged part (Part of the header bar), but I called Bestop and mentioned the damaged part. They sent out a replacement right away with no questions. Great customer service from the manufacturer, so buy with confidence!! There's no better option for a stylish and super high quality soft top for your JK! ... show more

I'm pretty impressed with this top. I've had it on for a week or so. It replaced a hard top. It is minimally louder than the hard top. I expected that. It looks nice and is reasonably easy to put up and down once the initial installation is complete. BesTop shorted me 4 bolts 4 nuts and 4 washers. No big deal just meant a trip to the hardware store when I was almost finished with installation. I have run it through the car wash tunnel twice now (the one with brushes). No damage or scratching doesn't leak to speak of and seems to be completely fine for the car wash. The car was was my main concern. I like a clean ride and I don't want to hand wash every week. I've had many other Soft Top jeeps over the years. This is the first one without zippers. I like the tracks across the top of the windows. I feel like zippers on the side of the rear window is better. ... show more

Purchased this top to replace my 5 year old factory soft top. This Twill top is an improvement in every regard. Looks so much better with the fast back and the true black of the twill. I have much less road noise. My wife immediately noticed how much quieter the jeep is with the top up and windows rolled up. The install was pretty straight forward. I would highly suggest reading up on it and watching some videos on youtube before beginning the install. The top is REALLY TIGHT when it's first installed. A warm day is highly recommended. Once the top has been installed a week or so it will loosen up and allow the windows to go off and on with ease. I have had this top a couple of months now and I am very happy with my purchase. Installation took time but the installation guide was accurate and along with the video, made the process a breeze. Operation of the top is easy and straight forward. We also have the JL version and a track for the frame is better on that version. This frame almost requires two people to put the top up from full convertible mode. The twill fabric is heavy and will hold up through all seasons. Over all this is a great product and well worth the investment! ... show more

I love the twill fabric and the trektop Glide zipper-less design. I consider this the perfect top. No zippers to jam up or frustrate you. The fastback design looks great. And its versatile. You can run in sunroof mode, bikini top or completely folded down. A word of warning. A cold, new top is SUPER TIGHT. I was forced to install mine in 60 degree weather though the instructions recommend 72 degrees or above. I had no trouble until right at the end when it was time to snap the back window into its channels. It took me 10 minutes and tons of strain to get that sucker into the channel. The best thing about the twill fabric is how quiet it is. Its noticeably quieter than the diamond fabric. I can carry on conversations with my passengers now. ... show more

I have the twill Glide top and so far I like it. At first it sat up too high when laid down but found that if I unlatch the two top mounts it will drop down below the spare tire. Better yet, I could easily unlatch the two lower mounts and take the whole top off. This feature makes the top so much easier to handle than the factory top. I also found that when putting it back up that the Sunrider latches must be locked in before trying to latch the header. ... show more

I bought a 2013 Rubicon in 2021 with only 32k miles. It was taken care of, but I imagine it was mostly left in the Sun judging by the faded fenders and bumpers. The vinyl top was quite weathered and was leaking at the seams into my door surrounds. After a decent bit of research, I found this top to match my needs. Set up went about as expected. It took about 2.5-3 hours with two people, and after studying a set up video. I would definitely watch some installation videos to make the directions make more sense. The box it came in had many holes, not packaged very well. A metal piece was dented at the header, but I was able to bend it back in place. We set it all up on a sunny day and let all the materials get nice and warm. All three windows went in quite smoothly. The twill looks very nice. Haven’t experienced rain, but it is noticeably quieter than my factory top. KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON YOUR SCREWS… I had two extra screws by the end of it all. Overall I was happy with how the installation went. I will try to remember to update this review once I’ve put a few miles on it and have been through some rain storms. ... show more
