Pretty cool! I needed the most bus jumper which they should just include but works great. Huge improvement over old screen. Cable management was a little tricky. You need to really feed adapter harness deep down into the dash. Decided to order the back up camera which is why the dash is still apart

The first impression is amazing! Premium, sleek design that makes my 2015 BMW 428i look fantastic! I'll update this after spending some time using it. It's important to properly wire the fiber cable and configure the OEM Bluetooth settings. 2014 BMW 328i is what I installed into. So... only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I had no idea that my head unit was so much different than what the installation video had and with all of the aftermarket wiring it did not fit behind my head unit. I had to take off my glove box to fit my hand behind there and physically fit it into place. Besides that, this thing is awesome. No issues at all and pretty quick responses. Connects within 5 seconds of me entering the vehicle too. *the pictures are representative of how much wiring there is and how it did not fit behind the head unit. Unfortunate for me, maybe I have the full navigation display or something and mine is bigger or something? Idk, don't really care - got it replaced! ... show more

This unit is so much easier to use than the Android based units. The lag time is almost nonexistent and it sounds great. The only difficult part of the installation is getting the wiring harness to fit behind the existing components in the dash. If you don't have the Harmon Kardon system, it will be a cake walk. If you do, take your time and tuck the wires below and to the side gently. Don't get impatient and try to force them. This screen is the second one I've purchased off Amazon. The packaging gave me high hopes as it came in a sealed box with proper branding (unlike the first one I ordered, no name brand). The screen appeared to be very high quality (again compared to the first one I ordered) and the installation process was pretty straightforward. That's where the good experience stopped. After getting everything installed and reconnecting the battery, the car started and saw a nice interface and crisp screen. I held down the menu button to go back to the NBT system, and saw a glitching menu (like I was infinitely scrolling the iDrive wheel). No matter what settings I changed in the screen (including the 2 different display size options), I couldn't get this resolved (I also had no backup camera). Since the NBT interface was unusable, I never had the chance to test any of the CarPlay audio. Another note is the interface on the PEMP screen is very slow on the Linux Ultra Thin unit. It honestly reminded me of an outdated, underpowered android phone from back in the day. ... show more

I was kind of nervous about dropping a big screen in my F30, but this PEMP 12.3″ unit blew me away. It looks slick — super thin bezels, clean design, and the screen just blends in nicely with the dash. Hooking it up wasn’t too bad (you’ll want a wiring guide or video), and once it was in, CarPlay and Android Auto worked perfectly — wireless and wired. The best part? It recognizes the factory Bluetooth for calls, so I didn’t lose that seamless calling feature. Amazon Watching the reverse cam, navigating, or just playing music feels way more premium now. The screen is sharp, colors are solid, and response is smooth. I’m really happy with this upgrade — gives my car a fresh modern feel without feeling too aftermarket. it may be too big, but it works with my 2012 328i and was half the cost of replacing the original not working head unit. Not sure how long it will last. Stuffing all the cables behind the radio was a challenge.
