  • Very nice upgrade, nearly perfect
Size: 8.8" E60/E90 CCC Linux
Works better than expected! Positives: - Linux OS boots up quickly when you start the car - Steering wheel buttons and iDrive knob works well to control interface (helpful since touch screen can be a bit hard to reach while driving) Installation issues: 1. Did not need AUX cable, did not need to route it to the aux port on my 2008 535xi 2. Very annoying trying to tuck to the extra wiring harness behind the radio... make sure to tuck it into the bottom left area behind the radio (before sliding the radio back in) Quality: 1. Audio quality for music is very good 2. Built-in microphone works well for Siri commands 3. A bit of "echo" for phone calls via Carplay (I am still paired to the car's bluetooth for phone calls through the vehicle's microphone) Overall, totally worth the money. I didn't use the old screen for anything, makes my car feel much more modern having Carplay built-in. My only issue is a little bit of echo during phone calls... I'm still using the car's bluetooth and that works well enough. ... show more

  • This Radio is perfect
Size: 8.8" E60/E90 CCC Linux
Before purchasing the Linux, I read most of the reviews. I read reviews about incorrect fit not very good installation instructions. I ordered the Pemp E60 aux. The instructions were spot on perfect. Then I ordered the Linux radio. It was 239.00 on Black Friday deals. I followed the directions. They were also spot on. This company is amazing. Tech help is thru email, and they respond 24/7. I fell in love with my 2006 650i all over again. My idrive works perfectly, my steering controls work perfectly. Bluetooth CarPlay , and you can hit the menu button to go back to oem. Great job Pemp!! Highly recommended 👍🏻 ... show more

  • Great upgrade to 650i
Size: 8.8" E60/E90 CCC Linux
This is a fantastic addition to or 06 650i and OEM compatible. We are still working out a few bugs not sure if its the radio or something else. OEM features work great along with the android auto. My issue at this time is when I have my phone connected and I go to the OEM screen for the radio it just flips back to android auto screen. Installing was not as easy as expected due to also adding a back up camera and trying to figure out why the bluetooth will not come through the speakers is still an ongoing issue. Might not have anything to do with the radio however possibly our bluetooth module. Will update once we replace it. ... show more

  • It was a good purchase
Size: 8.8" E60/E90 CCC Linux
Not bad at all... The sound quality is quite acceptable. Much better than plugging a random device into the aux jack, but that said I would gladly pay an additional 200 for optic cable connection for even better clarity or better DAC. I did not need the aux cable for my vehicle. You need to play with the settings to make it right. ... show more

  • Blue tooth mic doesn’t work well at all
Size: 8.8" E60/E90 CCC Linux
Works fine as described however built in mic for phone calls totally sucks even after speaking with rep , also most times the radio does not stay in aux mode after disconnecting. A little annoying, please pay attention to the part where you must buy there aux program tool and rear view sold separately ... show more
