This fan is great! It’s incredibly powerful and really helps keep my room cool and the air circulating well! It is really loud; however, that is exactly what I bought it for. My dog is really sensitive to noises outside of my bedroom, so I needed something loud enough to drown out the sound of my roommates moving about the house. This has been perfect for doing that so far. Additionally, I like white noise at night so I like that the fan is loud enough to act as that. When I ordered this, I was a little grumpy that the price was so much. The last box fan I bought at Walmart was a little over $20 I think. Then again, that could have been 10 years ago. Lol This fan is designed to look pretty slick. I like that it's black, and while it is a little loud (which, let's be honest, most fans are), The strength of this fan is incredible. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment where there is a large in-wall unit air conditioner in the living room. My bedroom however, is down a long hallway and is the last bedroom at the end of the hallway from the living room. To add to that, my bedroom has two very large windows in it. So I already don't have great insulation and it's cold in there in the winter, and hot in the summer. Last year I had bought a different fan off of Amazon that was a round metal fan that sat on the floor. That thing's even stronger than this box fan, and incredibly noisy, but I always keep it at the beginning of the hallway in the living room pointing down the hallway. I had an old Walmart fan that I had pointing into my bedroom from the hallway, but honestly this year and possibly last it didn't feel like the fan was blowing anything anywhere. Even on high. Yes, I could have tried cleaning the fan. I paid $20 for the fan, and that would have entailed using tools to get to the fan to clean it. And quite frankly I was just too lazy to do it. So I opted to order this one. And I have absolutely no regrets. I'm actually laying in bed right now (recovering from surgery), And the fan pointing into the bedroom from the hallway is so strong that I'm actually chilly. I just put a blanket on. Bought a few of these to help move air in the bedrooms on warm summer nights. We fold the feet up and it sits perfectly in the window sill and is held in place by the sliding window. Moves air fine, not great. Cons- A bit noisier at full speed than the cheap Lasko box fan you can get at your local store. Also not as powerful. Pros - sleek design with folding feet so you can unfold them if you want to set the fan on the floor. Very stable. Control knob is on the front and not the top so it’s easy to control when it’s “mounted” in the window frame. Carrying handle is built in as opposed to being screwed on the top. We’ve had the fan fall out of the window sill a couple of times when not held in by the window properly, and little damage. No broken handles or knobs. Worth the extra $$ I think. ... show more

I was looking for a quiet box fan and after reading the reviews and product description thought this would be a good buy. The truth was a mixed bag. The fan is light and easy to carry and move. It pulls and pushes a lot of air which is great. However it is hands down the loudest fan I have now. The noise level of this fan is high. All other aspects of this fan are fantastic. That is the only downside to this particular box fan. If noise is not an issue for you then this is a great buy. If you are factoring in noise level into you decision making, then this is definitely NOT the fan for you. ... show more

The fan itself works very, very well very satisfied with the fan itself, however. the plastic case was broken. Upon . delivery. I didn't need the fan right away, so I Stored it in the room that I use it in and didn't open the box until two weeks after it was delivered. I decided to keep it because the fan itself works great and the broken. case was not too bad, so I didn't try to return it. ... show more
