Bought a few of these to help move air in the bedrooms on warm summer nights. We fold the feet up and it sits perfectly in the window sill and is held in place by the sliding window. Moves air fine, not great. Cons- A bit noisier at full speed than the cheap Lasko box fan you can get at your local store. Also not as powerful. Pros - sleek design with folding feet so you can unfold them if you want to set the fan on the floor. Very stable. Control knob is on the front and not the top so it’s easy to control when it’s “mounted” in the window frame. Carrying handle is built in as opposed to being screwed on the top. We’ve had the fan fall out of the window sill a couple of times when not held in by the window properly, and little damage. No broken handles or knobs. Worth the extra $$ I think. ... show more

I purchased this fan specifically for my home gym in the garage. I live in SoCal so it can get really warm all year round and the fan does its job. There’s no assembling required - just plug in and set the control which has few modes. It helps keep the entire garage feeling cool. My only comment that it’s a little loud at the highest mode but it doesn’t bother me too much since I have the TV on during my workouts. We used to buy window fans from our local hardware stores (Comfort Zone brand usually), but last year the fans we got there were so bad that you couldn't tell they were turned on even if they were on high speed and you were standing right in front of them. We decided to try out the Pelonis fans and are much happier with them. They circulate the air pretty well at the highest speed, and though they are loud (are any box fans not loud?) the noise is not too invasive or distracting (and they make good white noise for sleeping). The only problem with them is the lack of a top handle, so when we want to turn the fan around to repel stinky neighbors' drug smoke, we have to grip the entire fan from the sides with two hands. ... show more

If you buy floor fans for the white noise, this fan is great! I don’t really care about moving air. But if you do, then do not buy this fan; it really doesn’t move that much air. I am assuming that the smaller blades that aren’t curved as much (and thus do not move much air), make for less stress on the motor and/or a smaller motor and thinner gauge wiring is needed. ... show more

Bought this to use as a garage fan. Thought about mounting it but the airflow it moves even on the ground was great. The fan itself is built solid and isn’t loud even on it’s highest setting.
