This fan is loud but proud!!! It blows so much air and is powerful enough to actually feel when it’s positioned a few feet away from you, as opposed to a lot of those standing-pillar-fans. Sleek, well-made, super powerful floor fan. I needed cooler air on the main floor pushed up my stairs to the second floor. This fan does that on the low setting. This fan is great! It’s incredibly powerful and really helps keep my room cool and the air circulating well! It is really loud; however, that is exactly what I bought it for. My dog is really sensitive to noises outside of my bedroom, so I needed something loud enough to drown out the sound of my roommates moving about the house. This has been perfect for doing that so far. Additionally, I like white noise at night so I like that the fan is loud enough to act as that. The fan is also lightweight and was very easy to put together. I haven’t hung it on the wall, but that does seem like it’d be easy to do as well. ... show more

This excellent fan replaced my 25-year-old box fan that has served me well for all those years. It moves more air and can be directed in any direction that I choose. I'm impressed with the build quality and the fact that I can use it with my smart switch making it programable with my Wyze app.

We have a large metal garage/workshop, and in the summer it gets quite hot. When my husband checked the temperature with his infa-red thermometer, it was 124 degrees at the ceiling. I bought this fan in an attempt to upgrade from my 20 inch box fan. I am not very impressed. The fan is marketed at 4960 CFM. I knew that was a lie but I wasn't prepared for how off the lie was. After getting this fan and putting it on alongside my box fan I could barely feel a difference between the two. So I bought a anemometer and measured the wind speed in 1.25 inch increments and made a crude CFM approximation. I found that the max wind speed for the box fan and this fan are not very different. the max speed is abotu half way from the center to the outside of the fan (about 5 inches in). Box fan max MPH = 11.6 Pelonis fan max MPH = 12.5 So a little faster (7.7%). But this is why it's hard to tell the difference between the two fans. the Max speed is pretty close. However, One benefit the Pelonis fan has is that it still blows air pretty close to the center. See this table below. The Box fan read 0MPH for much more area in the middle of the fan Inches from Center Box fan MPH Pelonis MPH 0-1.25 0 0 1.25-2.5 0 3.1 2.5-3.75 0 5.9 3.75-5 7.1 10.1 5-6.25 11.6 12.5 6.25-7.5 10.4 11.2 7.5-8.75 7.3 10.2 8.75-10 0 3.9 Calculating the SQFT of each annulus and converting MPH to CFM I get Box FAN CFM = 1091 Pelonis Fan CFM = 1610. That's a 47% increase which is nice but very very far away from the advertised 4960CFM. It's actually 67.5% less than advertised. The Box fan advertises 1800 CFM so it is also lower than advertised but only by 39.3% ... show more
