I have some Likes and Dislikes. (Likes)- Speaker sounds good, can handle more power than the Vega I replace. Built tough and they redid the wires that snaps off after awhile. (Dislike)- The wait... I ordered two speakers on May 13, 2016 but was shipped separately. Speaker #1 shipped from Pennsylvania received it on June 30, 2016 "48 days wait" Speaker #2 shipped from Indiana received it on July 5, 2016 "53 days wait" I was told this speaker was made in USA, but on the box it said "design in USA made in China" My concern is the speaker being made from China. Known for cheap parts. So I gave it a 4 star. ... show more

This speaker sounds good if not better than my factory built ev earthquake.i used aj designer to design a box it will drop to 30 hertz without clipping and is Loud all the way to 100 hertz seems to take it powering it with a pv1500 which is probably a little small but it's bridged and still is loud enough for me. Peaveys box specs are a little small for a large box but almost dead on I've thought about experimenting by taking up space in the box I built but haven't decided yet to match what they said versus aj designers the only problem I had so far is having to turn it down because of items falling off of a table near by. I will buy again ... show more

    • Another Legendary Speaker
This has excellent power handling capabilities. I currently only have a 1500 watt amp (NU3000) for it, and I crank it hard. I'm certain that amp will blow long before the speaker. I would feel very confident in running much, much more power through it. It delivers very deep and clear sound, and covers a very very large indoor area. Can't beat the price. ... show more

I have a set of Yorkville 18" subs At a gig I blew one of them. so I ordered one of these to replace it. Im using a Behringer inuke 6000watt amp to push my subs. The peavey low rider sounds better and gives me more bottom than the one that still has the Yorkville in it. Im gonna buy another low rider and unload the other Yorkville. And use it for a backup I know this sounds crazy but it does sound better. Oh i forgot to mention each sub cabinet is rated at 1200 watts RMS ... show more

Imma Peavey nut! Love all my equipment I've ordered over the 20+ years I've been playing music. Replaced a sub that had been recently detroyed due to a person knocking a mic off the table into the floor head first. This is the first time in the 20+ years I have had to replace any of my subs!     • Weak connectors
These things shake the planet .. I did have to replace a connector on one ,. It broke loose from the wire ... Not a big deal for me but could be a show stopper for others ... Shame on peavey for using such weak connectors ..

    • These things are great for the price
These things are great for the price! I purchased 2 of these to load into an old JBL TCB Box. The bass takes your breath away. Great product! Word of caution.... Follow the RMS rating closely, or else you WILL DESTROY THE CONE.
