I am a thick, rectangularly shaped post menopausal gal and any coat that skims the body too closely or is shaped at the waist if NOT flattering for me. This coat is almost an A shape - but not extreme. I like the lapel which I find tasteful and understated. The double breasted style is also understated - I don't like the military look.
