The media could not be loaded. I already have a cat tree in another room, but rescuing a feral mama cat and her five 3 week old girls from our bushes necessitated the need for another. I set this up in the living room so all five of my cats have access to it, although my main reason for purchase was for the two kittens of the litter we ended up keeping. Two of our cats have never shown an interest to the other cat tree. Once put together and in place, our kittens IMMEDIATELY claimed it! We've had it almost a month now, and the kittens play on it throughout the day. I've even found our 15+ year old cat napping up in it. Things I love 1. there's a shelf that puts your cats near chest level. The kittens especially love this shelf to greet us when we come through the door. 2. The cat beds are removable and washable. Very important feature to have. 3. There are sisal scratching areas all over. This so far has satisfied the kittens desire for scratching anything else. 4. Multiple tiers that are offset, making it easy for even our old cat to climb down. 5. Compact yet sturdy design allows you to put this almost anywhere. It has held up to the weight of cats chasing each other or launching themselves off at high speeds. 6. The hammock is secured in place at 4 points, unlike some other trees. Please note that in step 1, you are installing the four pieces inside the two "houses." For most of the steps you need to create a starter hole in the fabric just above where there is a hole for the screw. In order to find the correct placement of the piece you are blindly trying to insert the screw into, you can use the tightening tool provided (I used a rattail comb). Push the tool through the hole in the fabric and move the piece you need to attach until the tool goes into the opening of the piece to be attached. Also refer to the picture often. For example, I tried to attach the top "house" to the center of the board it sits on. But the house is not centered on that board and the center hole in the board is a place to attach a ball. The hammock is her favorite part. I was worried it would be so tall that the top was unstable, but it is very sturdy. She’s anxious so doesn’t climb unless she feels very secure. It took a while to set up, but it was worth it. I’ve also been pleasantly surprised that it looks so nice and melds nicely with the decor. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

I have a mixed review for this cat tree. First and foremost it fits perfectly in my small house and it seems to be very sturdy. I have four cats that and they all seem to love it. BUT my biggest boy has difficulty climbing up the tree house because the landings are not very big. He does climb to the top but he does it awkwardly. My 3 cats that are smaller (weigh less) love the challenge of climbing this steep cat tree. ... show more

I love this pretty, soft cat tree; however, it was a bit of a squeeze for our cat to go from the hammock to the next shelf, so he only used the hammock. It was a challenge to reconfigure it because of only 2-3 matching posts (not four of one length), but we found a way, omitting the small cave box. Now, he climbs high enough to look over the privacy pattern we have midway on the window and has room to stretch out. If the unit had easy ways to customize it, I'd give it five stars. ... show more

I got a tubby baby. And she has plenty of room to move around on every level and has even laid on the top bed, though she prefers the hammock. Her girth can rest securely, without wobbling. It feels pretty secure for her hefty frame, even with her slightly less fluffy sister on it too. I put some cat stairs next to it to help my fatty get up a tad bit easier. My cat loves to be on a high spot, so this tall tower instantly became her favorite. It’s not difficult to assemble, but one of the parts was a wrong size, so we had to get it ourselves. Overall it was a good purchase.
