Should I Buy It?

Yes, the product is an ideal choice if you are looking for a quiet, efficient, and reliable compressor for occasional to moderate airbrush work. This compressor provides an easy upgrade opportunity accompanied by great value for money.

  • Great Compressor Meets Expectations
This is a great compressor, it's small, quiet and functions flawlessly. The included regulator and moisture trap make this a great value. Air is consistent and dry, it holds my working pressure (about 20psi for airbrushing) perfectly. It's a nice design, it the tank seems to be of good quality, think walls and good welds. The feet keep the compressor from moving while in operation. It's simple to use and meets all expectations. Some have complained about rust in the tank but mine didn't have that problem. Also the hose fitting seems to be an issue for some but I just bought a Grex airbrush hose kit and it's got the proper fitting for this and my Badger Patriot 105 airbrush. ... show more

  • Great quality, low noise
I Took the image about 5 feet away and also noise in that small space I created would be amplified so take that into account, but massive diffrence between this compressor and a pancake one used for general use, granted pancake one once full last a while but when time comes to recharge it, its annoying, the little one even though it does turn on more more frequently the noise does not bother me at all, in a weird way its almost like a white noise. You could be by me and hear me talk easily my voice is louder then the little compressor, talking normally. I saw more expensive ones woth a tank onit and decided to go for this one and honestly no regrets performs great for my hobby. It does not come with a hose but if you ever bought a airbrush kit that comes with the hose it fits on there, I did how ever buy a quick disconnect kit so the hose can stay on the compressor, makes it way more convenient. I dont airbrush every day or for long periods of time so not sure how it performs under long usage and heavy load. I saw some comments about it getting hot, I have not had that issue but if I do ill just put a fan or something by it. Still worth it for this great price point. Overall great design and doesn't leak, no overheating issue, works good very happy. ... show more

  • Great compressor for the price
This is a great little compressor. Timber tech. I have had it now about 6 months no issues. It works great and love the 3 liter tank. Holds more than enough air. I build models so I use it alot. Always performs great. Real quite , great for apartments which I live in. Want a compressor that will always work when needed this is it. I highly recommend it. It doesn’t move around or anything ... show more

  • Nice Compressor, Gauge Too Small
This seems to be a very nice airbrush compressor. It’s well finished, runs quietly enough to have right next to you and delivers enough air volume for an airbrush. It cycles on and off to keep the pressure up. The on/off switch is lighted, so you can see at a glance whether it’s energized. The built-in carry handle is nice, too. My one objection is the pressure gauge, which is ill-sized for the purpose. The gauge and its markings are very small and the pressure range is much higher than needed, which makes setting accurate output pressures difficult. I replaced the small 0-100 PSI gauge with a larger 0-60 PSI gauge, which is much easier to read and set. The regulator seems to have a 1/8” NPT (National Pipe Taper) thread size. The gauge I got is ¼” NPT, so it needed an adaptor to fit 1/8”. Unfortunately, the new gauge is glycerin-filled and has an air bubble in the dial, which is annoying, but at least now it is easy to read and pressures in the 10-15 PSI range are easy to set. ... show more

  • What a HONEY!!!
I had been using a 3-gallon pancake compressor from Harbor Freight and, while it got the job done for my airbrushing uses, it was incredibly loud. No way to use it without everyone in the house hearing it. And it rattled my nerves every time it cycled on, causing me to screw up at least a couple of paint jobs unnecessarily. Then I saw a product review online of this Timbertech unit by one of my favorite YouTube modeling pros and figured the time was right to jump on a new compressor. Man, am I glad I did! This unit is WHISPER QUIET! It takes up less room than my old compressor and, with the reserve tank, it doesn’t cycle on very frequently, so I can airbrush for several minutes without hearing ANY noise from it at all! When it does cycle on it makes about as much noise as an average aquarium air pump, if not less. Very consistent airflow at every setting, with no significant reduction in pressure while spraying. The pressure regulator works very smoothly and I can adjust pressure settings and lock the regulator easily with one hand. And that’s important when you’re balancing parts and an airbrush. Now for the negative…. I had quite a time trying to locate the proper couplers so that I could use my favorite airbrush, a Paasche Talon ( that has a proprietary thread design) AND my other airbrushes, which use standard fittings. For the record, the fitting on the Timbertech pressure regulator ( where you screw on your air hose) is 1/8 NPTB male, and should work fine with standard air hoses. If you use the majority of airbrushes available you probably won’t need any special adaptors or couplers to use them. I firmly believe that, for the price of this unit, considering as it includes a cool-down fan and a pressure regulator, not to mention a very low decibel rating, this is a HONEY of a deal! ... show more

  • Quiet and compact
My husband started airbrushing recently and this one was recommended. After many uses, I can say it works beautifully. He has a setup in the basement directly under the living room. I cannot hear it at all from upstairs. Even in the same room it's very quiet and only turns on every few minutes to maintain pressure. It also doesn't take up much space and is easy to use. Works wonderfully with airbrushing for a smooth, even coat. I would recommend this for air brushing. ... show more

  • Amazing compressor.
This is a great compressor for the price. I purchase it for my first airbrush and have not been disappointed. See the tank allows for you to have a mostly quiet paint session w out being bothered too much. Even tho the decibel level is advertised as being low I find it a tad too loud for my taste. That being said it is quiet enough for me to use in my paint room w the door open and not have it heard in the living room when my wife is watching tv. After you get in the groove you won’t even notice the noise and it’ll be part of the background. It passes the wife test and I haven’t woken her up once during my late night paint sessions. I did have to go buy a quick release adapter for the hose but that’s whatever. A truly great buy for my airbrush painting. ... show more
