Apologies for lack of good photo/video. I'll update if I acquire better. First off a bit about my household: I was a two cat household until some needy 4 week olds fell in my lap. I intended to foster and find a home for one or both ...but after a couple months realized this was not going to happen. So suddenly I have 4 cats in a 700sqft apartment. I am a firm believer in min one cat tee per cat...everyone usually claims one and it's a good balance. I went looking for my normal sub 100 tree which I could only technically afford one of... but kept seeing this one. The more I saw the more I loved it. It is as stunning in person as online...and I HATE whites/tans/beiges.... even so I bit the bullet and got one on an Affirm loan. _Worth It_ First: This thing is sooo easy to assemble and I love that it allows you to adjust where the angles are while still having balance. Intelligence in the design from top to bottom. The base could likely use some form of sealant to prevent easy destruction but from desiring less negative impact on the environment I see why this was skipped. Perhaps a harder wood? Note: Watch out for the included cat nip while assembling..apparently I didn't realize they included some and barely rescued my living room from being covered in it due the high energy kitten. Second: Replaceable parts? Sign me up! All the other trees technically should be due to how they assemble but manufacturers making or selling the parts individually does not seem to happen. Third and Most Important: The cats love it. They even share it peacefully on the regular. This does not happen with the other trees. They've even, for the most part, abandoned the other trees! I may end up removing a tree and recovering valuable space one day... Note on this: I did delay this review to make sure I was not just experiencing the normal new toy excitement cats can have, particularly around trees, nope. This has at least one cat in it 90% of the day for well over the time they usually get 'new thing fatigue' More info: The bowls are also sufficient for the cats to double up in, even the adults. My adults are not heavy and two together would be the weight of some of yalls adorable chonkers out there. The padding could stand maybe some loops and a button to help hold them in place but fixing them once and awhile is not much of an issue and sometimes the cats adjust them back for themselves. The _one_ downside and feedback which isn't unique to this type of furniture/base: I did note the one or two reviewers speaking to the instability of the tree. It's nit unstable unless there are issues with parts/assemblage... or your floor (like me). Generally you should not be experiencing it....BUT if you have old school hardwood floors like me its impossible to avoid. I have my ways around it which worked fantastically....but for a nearly $400 tree it would be nice if this were a non issue and the feet had some adjustment. The feet are not adjustable. My thought: If there could be access to the feet from the top platform and large/longer screws (with maybe little plungers) that would allow you to screw/unscrew the feet a TINY amount in an uneven surface environment it would be absolute icing on the cake. One could adust while the cats were on it/testing it for you. Doubt much will be done here as this is such a common issue but figured I would put it out there. My fix for uneven (non carpeted) floors if you're curious: Use a glob of Quake Hold...size based on amount of wobble and foot size. Ball it up and place in the middle of foot [warmed up] then shove/wiggle furniture down until stable. It creates a little lift and mini hold on that one corner. This will not help if its too significant of a difference but likely there are bigger problems if you need more than this. If you paint your hardwood: Be aware it WILL pull up paint if you need to move the furniture and act accordingly)

This is so sturdy, heavy, and pretty in person. I honestly never thought I’d have a cat tree in my house, but here we are! My cats loved it from the first minute it was assembled, and it is aesthetic enough that I don’t mind it in the house. This is definitely a different level of quality than any other cat tree I’ve seen. The furry mats that are in each basket are very soft, &assembly was so easy.

The tree is a JOY!!! The metal armature and heavy/wide base ensure that it is stable. This thing is HEAVY. And, it's so graceful and lovely to look at. It really adds a lot to our decor. Unlike the typical stodgy rectangular carpeted ones I've had in the past. Each component is replaceable. They've been using the tree for several months and there is virtually no visible wear. No particle board to fall apart or wallow out. No outgassing of toxic fumes, which I'm very sensitive to. Just beautifully made in every way. Different toys can be hung, the wildest kitten has pulled off two of the existing toys, but, I'm so glad she is a happy kitty and engaged. I'll replace them with a new thing, which is good for cats anyway. The issue of whether cats will use a tree or not has always been there in my experience-- some will and some won't. My two older cats (14+) have not climbed into the baskets, but our two younger ones (under 1 year) love it and use it every day-- it's a safe space for them. My older cats both have mobility issues that I think are the reason why they haven't climbed into it (one cat is very large and also overweight, he hangs out on the base and plays with the kittens; the other older guy was mauled by a pack of stray dogs and barely survived, he doesn't climb). The younger cats have always been indoor-only, so this tree meets a lot of their needs. The older cats decided on their own to be indoor-only when we moved to this house from the farm we'd had-- they are just less in need of diversion. I absolutely totally recommend this cat tree.

Pay attention to the 1 & 2 star reviews before ordering. We made the mistake of reading the reviews in the order they appear when you click on reviews, which tends to list the most favorable reviews first. We loved the style of this tree, and based on the first several reviews (all 4 and 5 stars), we ordered it. We received the tree timely and it was packed well. All went smoothly attaching the base to the tree trunk, but when we attempted to attach the upper branch, the assembly went sideways. The design issue is with the single screw that attaches the bottom branch to the top branch. It’s difficult to align the top branch to the bottom branch and maintain that alignment while screwing it on. The furry disc that sits between the branches increases the difficulty. It’s too thick and reduces the threads that can be screwed into the top. Finally, the screw and hardware within the branches strips easily,, making multiple attempts impossible. We couldn’t get the top branch to catch with the furry disc in the middle, but we were able to get it attached without it . However, the top branch was wobbly and the connection ugly without the furry disc to mask the hardware. After unscrewing the branch to put the disc back on, the hardware in the branch was stripped. After an hour of futility (and swearing) trying to figure out how to remedy this problem, I contacted customer service via their Contact Us form. In the meantime, I went back to the reviews on Amazon and read many of the 1 and 2 stars. Most described what we were experiencing, so I decided to return the tree and search for another one. Btw, I never did hear back from customer service. Clearly, there are many purchasers who had a better experience than we did, but even the 4 star review I read had to contact customer service, and is hoping the fix holds. With mixed reviews like these, purchasing a tree without defects is a roll of the dice. At $400, I expect better consistency in quality. I can’t help but think the price is based more on covering the cost of replacement parts and returns than in producing a quality product.

I have had this since December and It has been a perfect useful work of Art the cats love it, I love it, and it gets tons of complements. I would add a few more screws with a bite to them on the basket bottoms as I had to have them replaced do to a cat that sees himself as a svelte lynx and not the sack of wet cement he has become. It never looks like a cat tree until they are all hanging about it. Well designed and I do recommend. It is designed so clawless cats can fly up it without any issues just like the clawed ones.

I bought one of these and loved it, although it seemed a little unstable at the middle connector. I put it in a corner, and it appeared to be ok for a while. When I moved it from the corner, however, the instability was pronounced. I contacted customer care and went through all their suggestions. I was afraid I was out of a good bit of money for a product that had failed. However, they are sending replacement parts for free. If the replacement parts work well I will be a happy camper. Otherwise, this tree is GORGEOUS, it's like a work of art. Both of my cats (one 10 lbs, one 15 lbs) loved it until it became so unstable that they avoided it. Hopefully the new replacement parts will solve that issue and it can once again decorate my living room. I will update the review in the future to let you all know how it turned out.

OK, It did take me a minute to put it together - but sturdy pieces, bolts and directions! I felt like it was actually a present for me as the packaging is delightfully simple, corrugatedly strong, appealing in color and cat jokes! The packaging makes a lovely cat cabin as well :>) The Mau Tree is the strongest tree I have ever seen and should anything become worn out or ruined, the pieces are replaceable! For me, knowing my 5 cats as I do, it was well worth the $. Napping has been constant since I affixed the last of the four baskets. My kitty, Shoesy Q, is the Queen of the Mau Tree. She was the first one to climb it and assume her perch in the top basket. Duquesne, Jackie Lee, Moonkitty and Socks love the premium napping enjoyed in the lower baskets. We love the Mau Tree [and the box].

I recently rescued a litter of 3 very mischievous, extremely active kittens. I already had 3 cats haha so needless to say I have a full house. This cat tree has worked out so well for us. They absolutely love it. It’s also been very good for us because two of my boys are over 15 pounds. It has held up very well. The kittens all pile in one basket sometimes or even on top of Pudgie (my ‘fluffiest’ boy lol) and the tree has yet to topple. It was somewhat difficult to put together because I live alone and was too excited to wait for help. It took me forever and I definitely hurt my back. My fault of course 😅 I would recommend you have help. At least two people. The baskets and beds are very high quality. Also love you can wash the beds. Very impressed with that - and also the fact that they are replaceable. With kittens that’s very important :) I second another reviewer though who said the beds should have a button or Velcro because my kittens routinely shove them out onto the floor. Mine is very sturdily built and it has never toppled over, but it is wobbly. I don’t know if that’s due to the uneven tile floor I have or if I put it together wrong? Other than those small issues I definitely recommend this very stylish cat tree! Your cats will love it!!
