After following instructions to attach arms to seat, then impossible to attach back. Someone else mentioned the struggle, I wish I had read before I started!! The "Brown" chair that I ordered looked nothing like the photo of the brown chair on Amazon's website. It was a dark burgundy, almost black in color. Overall the wrong color didn't bother me too much ie. good looking even if not what I ordered. Written instructions in addition to diagrams would have helpful, especially advice to keep the screws loose until all screws properly engaged, but maybe common-sense would have dictated that I do it that way. ... show more

***Update*** I flipped it over and figured out that the screws that attach the chair to the base were slightly loose. I tighted them and the squeaking stopped. This chair is still a basic chair but if you have a squeaking issue check those screws first. I bought this chair to replace my old office chair because it had begun to squeak every time I moved. This chair was great until I noticed the squeaking and popping sound a few weeks ago. I do not recline in the chair; just sit and turn from side to side. I am not even close to the weight limit of the chair. I guess this chair is a "get what you pay for" chair. I can't figure out where it is coming from, either. It is not a bad chair, but I need something that has better back and bottom support. This has neither. ... show more

Very nice chair. Just got it and put it together. Was quite easy until I got to the part to attach the back to the arms. That was a real battle. Finally, I loosened the arm screws quite a bit then was able to wrestle the back in place. I suggest leaving those arm screws and the back attachment ones loose, then make sure everything's settled in place. Tighten them up, each a little at a time until all are tight. There is nothing written, just pictures which are clear enough but I think there should be at least my suggestion about attaching the back. The chair looks really nice and it's comfortable. I don't use an office chair often, maybe an hour a day. As long as the height mechanism doesn't fail I'm fine with it. That's why I replaced an older one. I bought a light brown but it is a bit darker than I would like, but nbd. Also, on the pamphlet it says 110 kg which is about 240lbs. I will add I'm a 75 yo female who is pretty good at assembling things. The only issue was the struggle to place the back. Took a break and went back and did it. Update:. I wrote to the customer service address about how I couldn't move that knob in either direction and that the lever to raise and lower the seat is also supposed to move sideways to recline the back. The high school line drawings in their instruction pamphlet show what I was supposed to do. They wrote back to do exactly what I told them I couldn't do. There's a slot for the lever to move in, it is vertical. How it's supposed to go back and forth in that metal slot, I don't know. And I can't move that knob right or left or out to adjust. As it stands right now. I can't recline that back even one inch. So, I've changed my rating to 3 stars based on the problem and on their useless response. ... show more

I bought 2 of these. I reordered one and stitching was different. I meant to order 2 so I ordered another before I got this one. I am not sure what color it will be. Still a nice chair, but will stand out at my dining table....just disappointing....I got the other one and it was the same color as the 3rd chair I bought. Only problem is some loose stitching I worry could come apart later. Very nice chairs all in all. ... show more
