Bought this chair as a gift for my boyfriend after his old one broke and it’s definitely an upgrade! The chair itself is really comfortable, especially since it has the ability to lean back a bit and can be lowered to the desired height. The leaning feature is great because it doesn’t go too far or make you feel like you’re going to fall backwards out of the chair as soon as you push back. We also put his cat on it and he immediately laid down, so clearly it’s kitty approved for comfort! 😂 I took 1 star off just because the arms were kinda difficult to put on. The rest of the chair was fairly easy and didn’t take long, but the arms gave us a bit of a challenge. I think it was just hard to keep the holes on the chair back lined up with the holes on the arms to put the screw in. But overall, it wasn’t too big of a deal since we eventually figured it out. ... show more

Ive had this chair now for a few weeks and so far, Im very happy with it. For its price, it looks very high quality. It came packaged very secure, and had no defects or damage. I needed a new office chair for my home because I spend a lot of time editing videos and doing animation, so Im sitting on my butt for a long time. This chair, so far, has given me that proper cushion in that area and Im not getting any nerve ache in the back of my legs like I was with the previous chair. Also, it was EXTREMELY easy to assemble. It probably took me only between 30-45 minutes. I read some reviews before I bought this just to make sure, and I saw some people were complaining that the arm rests kept popping out. My guess is that they were not following one of the Golden Rules of Assembly which is: Never tighten down all the screws or bolts in an area until all of them are securely in place! My guess is that these 'geniuses' tightened each bolt as they went, which threw the whole armrest out of alignment by the time they got to the last one. I am very impressed by the quality and comfort of this chair. I am so happy to finally receive a high-quality product from Amazon that actually looks and feels as high-quality as advertised. The chair is supportive, with great lumbar support, armrests, and an easy to use height adjusting feature. The only thing I don't like about this chair is how absolutely INFURIATING the assembly was. The screws meant to attach the upper part of the chair to the armrests are all just a hair inch shorter than they should be for no logical reason, meaning you have to precisely, loosely put each screw in the absolutely perfect position while the chair part is also held in the perfect position if you want to be able to actually screw the screws in. My boyfriend ended up using longer screws from a different tool set that worked so much better and stopped our screaming and cursing. I truly do not know why they could not have just made those screws slightly longer. Also, the reclining feature is basically just a rocking chair feature. ... show more

UPDATE 11/21/23 ***REFUSAL TO HONOR WARRANTY*** I immediately contacted FDW Store (selling this chair on Amazon) re: manufacturer defect in this new chair (see photos and original review below). Natalie @ FDW Store (Factory Direct Warehouse, LLC) refused my warranty claim, instead saying it was Amazon's responsibility. Amazon has no responsibility for a manufacturers poor quality, product defect, or Warranty. The printed Warranty Form (see photo) enclosed with the instructions for the assembly of this chair plainly explain the 90 day warranty on the chair re: upholstery; 'Factory Direct Wholesale products are warranted against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship'. Interesting......Nothing in the Warranty says it's Amazon's responsibility. This chair was made, boxed and shipped with the defective armrest from Factory Direct Warehouse , LLC/The FDW Store, who SHOULD HONOR the Warranty. CUSTOMER BEWARE. DO NOT BUY FROM FDW STORE OR FACTORY DIRECT WAREHOUSE. Chair shipped with an wrinkle upholstery defect in Right armrest. (See attached photo) It's supposed to be smooth. The left armrest was done correctly. No idea why the manufacturer would consider this OK to ship to a customer. Seat back on this chair was nearly impossible to attach to the chair armrests. The holes for the Allen screws did not line up like they should. It took two of us to forcefully position the chair back into position where the Allen screws could attach the armrests to the chairback. Construction of the chair and upholstery quality is OK, not great. Not sure how long the upholstery will last with daily use. I have emailed the manufacturer for a replacement of the defective armrest. Hopefully they will correct the issue. ... show more

This chair was super easy to assemble and is super comfortable. It took about 30 minutes to assemble and there was nothing complicated about it. The only issue I had with the assembly was the covers for the holes after assembling it. One of the holes were too big to fit any of the covers, so none of them would stay in that one, but I was able to just glue it on, so it looks fine now. That isn't something that will effect the quality of the chair, so I don't think it's a big deal. Just a minor inconvenience that took an extra minute to fix. Well, this chair looks good and is comfortable, but the "PU leather" began cracking on the arm rests within a couple of years. And it continued to worsen despite protecting them with makeshift wraps. By the third year, some cracking appeared on the seat as well, and I'd had enough. Just purchased one of those mesh fabric chairs rather than pay a fortune for real leather.
