Why did you pick this product vs others?: If you're like me: Plus size (350lb), tall-ish, bottom heavy, wide-hipped, and have lower back pain, this is the one. I've often found that other heavy-duty office chairs can be too narrow in the seat, and the arm attachments pinch against the hips. Not the case here for two reasons: the seat is quite wide already, and the way these arms attach avoids any metal posts touching the sides of your leg, giving total comfort for those of us who were blessed from the back. The cushioning is deep and comortable but firm enough that it feels like it'll hold up for a long time. The base feels very solid, it came with two choices of castors to attach, and it rolls very smoothly. The pump for lumbar support seems great so far. The height is just right for me: I'm a little over 5'10, with a long torso and medium leg length. This chair seems like it might be a challenge for anyone under maybe 5'6, but if you're above that I think you'll do fine. Possible cons: it's true what the other reviews say, that the forward and backward sliding ability of the arm rests doesn't really lock, so you can easily pull them in and out. That said, it's not so sensitive that it's moving around all the time - you do still have to push or pull them. They stay put when you're just resting your arms. So, to me, this is a non-issue except in the rare case that I'm trying to move the chair by the arms. Another possible con: the chair does lean back as advertised, but it has some pretty aggressive counter-pressure that pushes it back to upright, so you really have to push to lean back. Maybe this eases up with time? At any rate, the chair is so comfortable already that I don't think I'd even want to recline very often, so that also does not bother me. Overall, the construction feels sturdy, and it was relatively easy to put together (one note: the instructions have one place where the text doesn't match the pictures; the pictures are correct and the text is incorrect. It tells you to put the bottom screw into the chair back and then tilt it up and put in the top screws; it is in fact self-evident when you put the chair back on that you actually need to do the top screws first and THEN the bottom. And definitely do NOT put the screws in all the way until you have the back in place). This is the third office chair I've bought since going WFH in the pandemic, and of the three I've bought, this is the first one that feels correct. If you're on the fence, buy it.     • Build is solid, but at 6-foot 300 lbs I want smaller, true vertical upright, and cloth covering.

At 6-foot, near 300 lbs. I barely fit, for being small.... Chair is bottomed out so my feet rest on the floor, and I have a 30" inseam. It tilts back a few degrees at minimum, and will not sit straight up for when you need to lean over or nearer your work. Arm rests are at lowest level, and chair width makes them usable, since I'm not 2-feet wide. The tilt issue is the deal killer. Sitting back slightly is comfortable, but not always what is needed for best work. The tilt backwards actually makes it a nice rocker, but the squeaking is a long-term concern. It is solidly built, very stable, rolls easily but not dangerously. If you're a cross-legged sitting type person you'll love the seat width, with a foot stool when needed. I'd have a friend 6'6" and 450 lbs. to see if they'd want it, if I knew anyone that big. The material is some kind of quality soft vinyl. It cleans up okay, but sticks to skin when hot, in Houston, and in shorts and short sleeves. When using feet to push back I tend to pull on arm rests, and that will pull them in easily out of my preferred extended sitting. To note: start the screws for attaching the back to the bottom, then get the other side started. After all the screws are all started, begin tightening. Do not crank the screws hard-tight. Yeah, some quick stats. 6'4", old-ish, 290 pounds, with back and neck issues. I sit in front of my computer too much and if I got paid by Zoom or Teams calls, I would be a millionaire. You get the picture. My lower back would hurt with one chair. The seat wasn't long enough on another and it would cut into the backs of my legs on another chair. My arms would fall asleep on another because it permanently made my shrug my shoulders. Lastly, my favorite, my would sink through the ohh so generous bottom cushion and my gluteous minimus would hurt (forgot that in my bio). So how many chairs is that? I don't know, but a lot. You would think, hey why don't you go to the store and try these chairs out? My wife suggested that as well. Well, you both are wrong (hope she doesn't read this). Chairs feel great in the store (Serta Big and Tall chair felt wonderful) but unless I bring some snacks and sit there for a couple of hours, which may be kind of creepy, I wouldn't know truly if it works. Plus, clicking a button and 2-3 days later it arrives at my house works also better for me. Onto the chair. Gorgeous. Looks like it belongs in a super high line office. Comfort? 9 out of ten. My only gripe is that I wish the arms would go lower. They are adjustable, which helps and you can flip them completely up or extend them out if you are like 6'6" or taller, but I must have weird arm length. It is close, but not ideal. Do I fit in the chair? Like a glove! Plenty of room, the back is supportive and the headrest hits me in the right place. My gluteous minimus? It is thankful. Supportive while being comfortable and not overly cushy. If you are a tall person, learn from my chair collection, save your self thousands of dollars and hours assembling and buy this chair. I'm six foot two and 370 lbs so this chair was so very nice to find. I fit well in it and it has a very sturdy base and overall construction is robust. However, it has a couple of huge drawbacks. In the arms, the height adjustment works well for different desk heights, but the sliding action becomes annoying as they cannot be locked in any position and end up sliding back and forth quite easily. The arm cushions are attached from underneath by sharp screws and they poke through the padding and stab your elbows (literally drawing blood on two occasions). The seat cushion is fairly thin and became compressed and uncomfortable within a few weeks. Adding aftermarket arm and seat cushions to this heavy frame seem like the only way to make it into a good chair. ... show more

I am a 63 year old recently retired disabled big guy/sasquatch/lumberjack type that is 6ft 1" and well north of 325 lbs. This is by far the biggest and most comfortable office chair I have ever had. I used to work from home for 18 years and I wish I would have had this one during that time. The seat is very comfy but for orthopedic reasons I use a Purple square cushion on it as well. The roller blade type wheels work great and seem very sturdy so far. I love the foldup arms with armrest cushions that can be moved forward or back for positional comfort. It has a headrest that can be moved up or down which is great for us taller guys who want to lean back and not risk snapping their neck while doing so. It was fairly easy to put together but follow the instructions to the T and look at the pictures carefully. It is engineered very cleverly but I put the armrests on backward initially. After a second look at the instructions, it clicked as to how it should be put together. I got it in the tan color because I got sick of having black colored office chairs over the years and I am impressed with how great it looks. My wife thought it looked pretty fancy and loved the tan color, too. Very classy. I could see these being used in a game room setting such as around a big table for eating , playing cards, etc. and would make a superb video game chair, too. Hell, I would love to have these around my dining room and kitchen table but the head of the household wouldn't go for that. LOL Time will tell as to how long it will last but my last big guy office chair was bought from a wholesale office supply place and cost me a hell of a lot more than this chair and crapped out on me after about only four years.     • BEWARE: RETURNS ARE NOT FREE. **BUYER BEWARE**

Update: I just spent $179 to ship this DAMAGED chair from Texas to Tennessee for the return. Returns are NOT FREE. If the Seller actually refunds the full amount of what I paid for this chair - I will not recoup even half of the full refund since I paid more than half just to ship it back. The chair was damaged upon arrival - I could not put it together and use it safely - but I had to pay to return a DAMAGED product to the Seller. Absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR. I purchased the green version of this chair a month ago. Lovely. Super comfy. Went back and saw the black chair was on sale so I purchased another one. Such a let down. Putting this one together and encountering several quality issues, I'm nervous about the green one I bought previously. Putting this chair together the first time (the green one) was a bit of a challenge because the instructions are not clear - mostly very small pictures and arrows to show you each step. Attaching the back of the chair to the bottom of the chair was the most frustrating part and I had to take it apart several times and try again. The pictures are just too small. Since I got practice from the green one, when I got this black chair, I was prepared to avoid the frustrations of earlier. Except this time, nothing really went together very well. I attached the right arm first - everything was fine. While attaching the left arm, one of the screws went right through the entire arm - that might not make sense, but the screw is supposed to hold the arm to the body of the chair and the screw slipped right though the arm so it wasn't attaching the arm and chair together. I thought perhaps a washer would be helpful holding that screw on - there are a total of four screws on each side for the arms - two screws hold the arms to the bottom and two screws hold the arms to the body of the chair. Then I realized that in this way ALL OF THE PRESSURE OF HOLDING THE CHAIR TOGETHER RESTS ON THE ARMS OF THE CHAIR. And those screws better be durable and snug. I went back to the right arm to make sure everything was tight and the same screw that messed up on the left side was messed up on the right side. So now both sides will need a washer? They send you extra screws so I switched this screw out with one of the spares - the screw did not go in straight and was making really weird noises as I tried to tighten it. I don't dare sit in this chair and has made me nervous to sit in the original chair I purchased. Did quality issues sneak past me on that one? Or is this why the black chair is on sale now? I requested to return the chair and the seller "approved" the return but it's unclear if I have to PAY to return this chair. I took the entire thing apart and stuffed it all back in the box. Now I have to lug it down to the post office or UPS store and I'm really upset thinking I might have to pay the return shipping. Based on the weight of the box, it's going to cost as much to ship this junk back as it was to purchase the chair. When my return was approved, i received only a document that goes inside the box - not a label. That tells me I will have to pay. Looking back at the Amazon listing - it does say returns within 30 days but it does not specify "free" so be careful! I purchased another chair meanwhile. It's fabulous. The arms are attached to the bottom of the chair but there is another steel bracket that holds the bottom to the body. Everything is not attached through the arms only. I'm sad because I really liked the original green chair but now I'm scared to sit in it. ... show more
