This dog house is sturdy, was straightforward to put together, and looks very nice. Size is just right for a corgi, so it would be perfect if mine didn't hate it. It's no ones fault but his, so I'm not going to remove any stars. I've had it 8 months now and I've bribed him, coaxed him, physically put him on it but he refuses. But it's a very nice dog house that would provide him with ample shade and a soft mattress if he chose to use it. But he'd rather sit in his mudhole in the sun instead like the toad that he is. Our 19lb beagle loves spending time outdoors, but we lost our shade tree during a large storm this spring. We purchased this cabana in order for her to have shade while keeping an eye on the yard. She absolutely loves it. We've had it for months now and it's holding up well with the storms, summer heat, and general wear and tear. We've washed and dried the mattress cover multiple times and it's held up well also. The size is perfect for a medium sized dog and she seems to be comfortable laying in it. Don’t get me wrong I love how it turned out and the instructions were simple but there was some trouble getting the screws to catch on the main pieces when connecting the legs. It was like they were just shy of catching to start tightening it took some force and two people to hold them together enough for it to catch. Great other than that tho. So far, I love it. It was pretty easy to put together, however, I do recommend two people for putting the roof on to make it even easier. I’ve had this dog house for a few months now! My Bob loves it! When we go outside to sit on the patio, she will go up into it and rest there to watch the surroundings. She’s 30 lbs and fits really snuggly in it. The rattan has also held up well for the past few months and looks as great as it did when I put it together back in the spring (writing this in October). It’s also really pretty and matches well with my patio! I contemplated this for a week or two, and purchased it in lieu of an actual dog house, because I know that my dog isn't comfortable with climbing inside of a 'box' yet. Since the description is Outdoor or Indoor, and the graphic actually shows that it's good for sun or rain, that was one of the selling points that pulled me off the fence. My dog is about 13 pounds, so it's kind of small considering it states up to 66 pounds, but I knew the dimensions going into it. Putting it together, it would help if the longer screws were a little longer, I had to use clamps to pull the bars together just to start the screws in the threads. Using the included Allen wrench is a pain, get a real tool to assemble it, you'll have an easier time at it. Regarding the "outdoor" claim - I really don't see how that huge gap is going to stop rain from pouring right down the middle and onto the pad. The roof hinges/hardware will rust within a couple of months, so I'm going to replace them soon with stainless steel. I'm really not sure how this can be pitched as an outdoor dog house, without making some changes and adding a ridge cover of some sort.
