  • Good little box to protect injured fish and for use in breeding.
Pattern Name: Large
I didn't buy this for breeding purposes, I needed to separate an injured fish. This package arrived quickly and as expected. The box is large enough to fit my fish comfortably and has lots of slits to allow for water to come through. My fish are safe while they recover in the box without having to invest in a whole hospital tank setup which I appreciated. It has three rooms so if you were to try to separate baby fish from the parents, they fall right through to the bottom section and stay safe there. I like the fact that it floats at the top And is easy to access. The lid is helpful to contain any escape artists. I recommend this product if you're looking for a in-tank way to separate fish from one another. Works well. ... show more

  • Good Temporary Fish Holder
Pattern Name: Medium
I used this to acclimate my female betta into my aquarium without knowing whether she would kill the rest of my fish. It worked well but was definitely a temporary solution and not big enough to hold her permanently. I found that she was a little aggressive while in this breeder box probably because it was too small. She would flare a little and try to swim at fish that were near her box. After about half a week to a week I decided to add her to the rest of the tank. Luckily she got along with the rest of this fish and hasn't been aggressive. As far as breeder boxes go this seems to be a good value. It has good separators and design choices to protect baby fish. The suction cups attach really well to the glass sides of the aquarium and were even hard to get off at some points. ... show more

  • Gunk in plastic
Pattern Name: Medium
My poor fish keeps mistaking it for a worm... not gonna lie, I thought it was a worm carcass at first too. I tried scraping both sides but it's just solidly laminated into the plastic. Really annoying and I can't stop seeing it. Otherwise, it's just what I needed. Bubbles is a little piggy and needs to be put in jail while the shrimp eat! ... show more

  • It's just ok
Pattern Name: Medium
Attaches to the tank easily and well. BUT the disappointment I have is the design. There is hardly any room for a pregnant fish to comfortable hang out until birth. We used for a pregnant swordtail. She hated it. I was concerned it was stress her enough she wouldn't make it. The removable floor grate piece could (and should) install much lower that way the adult fish can be more comfortable. We finally removed the floor piece until we knew it was closer to the big event. She finally had her fry and they are now hanging out until they are bigger. For the fry, it is a good size. ... show more

  • Great for guppy fry, don’t use suction if you have small fish
Pattern Name: Medium
I bought this some time ago when I came home with a couple baby guppies from the pet store. I wanted to be sure they would be safe from the other fish. I’m using it again now as one of those former babies is now having babies of her own. I’m thinking about placing her in it with the bottom grate only because I believe she’s close to her second birth and I had accidentally killed one of the babies trying to collect it for containment and felt HORRIBLE. I will say that you don’t want to suction it to your wall if you have small fish. Really glad I was around when I put it back in the tank because both full size guppies were stuck between it and the wall. If you have enough air in the handles it’s fine free floating. I’ve been pleased with it overall and would recommend it. ... show more

  • Holding the babies
Pattern Name: Small
It was a terrible piece. It didn’t work didn’t stay stuck to the Fishtank, so the babies kept on falling out.
