Excellent performance, even almost doubling the rated speeds. This may not be guaranteed with every individual unit; they may change component specifications occasionally to reduce costs or because of availability (many SSD makers do this). The rated speeds are not all that impressive, but good enough for the price and matching others in its class, which is what I expected when buying it. The pseudo-SLC cache is smaller than many other drives that use the full capacity dynamically, but this will only matter if there is very large amount of writing without idle time for recovery. It is DRAM-less, so some workloads may suffer slightly, but for most uses that doesn't matter. With SSD prices jumping significantly right now, this would be a good option to save some money without losing much performance. ... show more

Was worried the speeds would be slower than advertised but this is pretty fast. Compared to my Samsung 980 PRO 2T M.2 drive, the Patriot reads faster and writes slower in the sequential test.

This Patriot P400 Lite 250GB SSD was a great value purchase that allowed me to get one of my computers ready to sell. It provided a noticeable speed boost, making the machine much more appealing. Installation was simple and it performed as expected. Overall, a solid drive and a good purchase.

Insanely fast!! Wowzors! This just puts pc's on next level storage speeds. I have zero fears of data loss, durability seems strong. The performance matched up with a 870e Taichi and 9950x3d is INSANE! Heat is a non issue on this drive for me. I ended up using this as my secondary data drive.

The drive will be fine for non-mission critical data. I have confidence it will last within the specified 5-year warranty as provided by Patriot and past that. The hardware leaves something to be desired. The controller I received isn’t exactly known for power efficiency, and the Graphene sticker heat spreader will not suffice for heavy write use. Use of a heatsink is strongly recommended, and I advise against drives using Realtek RTS5772DL controllers in laptops or handheld computers. The 560TBW also leaves something to be desired, as it slightly lags behind typical industry standard TBW rating of 600TBW/1TB. On a better note, the performance exceeded specifications and sequential speeds were good. I got TLC NAND (Hynix 128-Layer V6) in my drive, and as such, I expect this drive to last for a decent while. I have not experienced any issues with this drive as a secondary, writing this as of a few months of light use. ... show more
