Initially I wanted them for my living room, and they really brightened the room. Then my son said they look like lights that would be in a church... and I realized he was correct. If my picture does not match the product it is because I used black electricians tape to cover the lens area. These lights were much brighter than I expected them to be. It would be nice if they were dimmable, but I knew when I purchased them they were not. It certainly is no fault of the item itself.
