Purchased these for a 2020 Lincoln Navigator. Out of the box the bars are sturdy feeling and the hardware is good. Make sure to take into account that one bars is shorter than the other. The longer one is for the front. Placed the mounting feet on the bars and went out to mount them. The short bar WILL not fit in the farthest back mounting holes. The bar is too wide no matter how far you bring in the feet. The next mount location up it fits but it is a VERY tight fit to get it in between the roof rails. That goes for the front bar as well. Very tight fit and had to use a lot of muscle to get them within the roof rails and then tapped them into place. I had premounted the supplied foam padding which made the fit even tighter. After tightening the feet down to the roof rails then you can tighten the adjustment bolts of the bars to the feet. They seem very sturdy and still need to mount my roof box to test it out but the build quality seems good and the hardware isn’t cheap feeling. I will update this review once I’ve used the bars for an upcoming trip. ... show more

    • Not bad! But they SCREAM! FIXED!

This seems like a very good rack for the price. I installed it on my '93 Toyota Corolla in about 15 minutes. I see folks complaining about the instructions and it being hard to assemble. Yes, the instructions are written in a language resembling, but not actually, English and are near incomprehensible. No, it not hard to figure out. If you're struggling to put this together, put down the tools and find someone who can use them. The plastic end caps for the rack bars are a very tight fit, and they're fragile. I found soaking them in boiling water would enlarge them enough to fit, but broke one before that occurred to me. The caps also have little slots in them, which make a delightfully irritating whistling from about 30 mph up. Put some electrician's tape over the slot from the inside and you'll have peace and quiet. I'll be replacing all the knobs with nylon stop nuts so I can be sure the rack will stay secure on rough roads. 09/13/23: I've made several modifications to these since buying them. One was replacing all the knobs with Nyloc nuts for security and peace of mind. Second was the SCREAM. I don't do a whole lot of highway driving, but when I do, these things would produce a polyphonic, cacophonous banshee howl that really defies description. Several different notes, all high, conflicting with each other at about 120 dB! Passing cars told me it was bad for them! Today, I took the crossbars off the rig, with the mounts still attached to the bars, and filled the hollow slots on the bottoms with spray-foam. After letting it set, I trimmed it with a sharp knife so you can barely see that it's there. I just took a 20 minute highway drive and... NO MORE SCREAM! ... show more

They work well but for the 2019 Ford Expedition, it has three places for racks. I needed the two bars to be spaced out more but the bar didn't fit very well into the third spot on the roof.

Installed on my 2020 chevy tahoe. The driver side attaches to the rail no problem, the length of the passenger side can adjust length a little. I tightened everything but the length of the passenger side first, then had to work under it which was a bit awkward to tighten the last bit down. Overall a lot easier than I thought it would be, especially considering the instructions are pretty useless. ... show more

Purchased for my 2022 Z71 Tahoe. Was easy to assemble. The instructions need to be including in how to make the locking clamps wider. Very impressed with how sturdy the material is. Will be using to carry my Vibe Sea Ghost 13 ft Kayak. They were east to install on vehicle as well as east to remove.

Seems like a ok product except the one issue. There are bolts that loosen and tighten the attachment arms to the car. Good concept but bolts are low quality and stripped on first try. Can figure out how to get ahold of them to get bolt replacement. Will figure out how to redneck engineer it i guess.

Unfortunately when we received this we were in need of it for the following Monday. This didn't leave me a lot of time for there to be pieces missing. Also it says universal but when we got the instructions it says different. Apparently it's for Toyota, Mitsubishi, or Mazda. Unfortunately for us we have a Dodge Durango. My husband had to go out and buy replacement bolts and nuts because bolts were missing and the nuts were seized up and didn't work. He is still out trying to get parts to make it work for Monday. If it doesn't work it's going to put us in quite a bind. Very disappointed... After further trying to install this had been a nightmare. Cheap pieces. Nuts and bolts don't fit together. Had to rethread nuts. Buy parts. Complete garbage... That we are having to try to make work out of necessity. Huge damper on our boots summer v camp as we may have to drive multiple vehicles to make up for the list luggage space if this doesn't work out. ... show more
