Pros: Visually it's wonderful. Looks like real wood until you touch it lol. Visually very appealing for a paper shredder. Nothing fancy on the shredding, simple lines. So far has shredded envelopes, junk mail, newspaper and plastic cards. Extended bar lets the shredder fit on nearly any trash can from a desk trash basket to a 13 gallon kitchen trash can (what I have it on). Fits securely and doesn't slide or shift. Functionality is great. Cons: Noise. It's rather loud for a shredder. Pros out weigh the cons for sure. IMO, it's a great shredder for the money.

This item is replacing a more expensive shredder which jammed and could not be unjammed. If this one is truly jam proof as claimed, it's worth the money. The only reason I don't award 5 stars is that it can't shred credit cards.

Only shreds for 2 minutes then has to rest for 10. Nice to have over a bucket to shred just wish it was for a longer time.

UPDATE: Following the post of my review, I received multiple messages from the company offering me a refund and a FREE replacement shredder. I do already have a different shredder that I am so far happy with, so I will not be trying again. I stand by a company who has excellent customer service and this experience has been impressive. Worth a try as long as you don’t need thicker documents discarded/shredded. I went through 2 of these shredders and lost. On the first one, I will admit, I lost the battle to a thick credit card offer… however, learned my lesson and tried again and was way more careful and selective with what I ran through. I think my biggest concern was that each seemed to have a short lifespan no matter what paper/envelope I was shredding. I loved the compact-ability. Beware that it can jam from paper being misfed.

Unfortunately when selecting a small home/office candidate for my shredding needs this shredder checked all the boxes. I proceeded to use it in seemingly very normal use cases only to find out it comfortably shreds 4-5 sheets at a time of regular printer paper. One of my main reasons for purchasing it was the intention of shredding several old Banking cards (yes I could use scissors too..). Come to find out it just tears up the edges of the cards and isn't capable of cutting through them, that lack of capability coupled with underperforming on how much paper I'm to shred at a time is leading me to return it since it doesn't remotely fit my use case at this point.

I keep my heavy duty monster shredded caged up in a closet and let it out when needed. Otherwise it's too big and noisy to have around full time. Still, I needed something simple to shred a few things that come in the mail or whatever. This item fit the bill. I keep it hanging on the wall next to my litter can in my home office. When needed, I just lay it on the top of the can and shred away then hang it back up. Sometimes I leave it on the can because there's still enough opening to toss stuff away. That's thanks to the small size of this device. I'm lovin' it!
