Using Mainly for wearing over a suit in the cold months. I like the fact that it is so long, it will really keep your legs warm. Material seems pretty sturdy. Have not had it in the rain yet not sure how water repellent it is. Looks very sharp and feels great. I bought the 2x (XXL). I AM 275 LBS. AND AM 5'11. Not trying to be funny but I have a body type like Homer Simpson not a lot of chest but big gut (hey, I'm working on it). I wore it today over a 52 regular sport coat and it was pretty tight. I guess that's an incentive to drop some weight to have it fit better. Today was 35° out for my first time wearing it and I was glad to have it is pretty warm , I consider this coat to be light to Mid-weight. I would consider one more thing but it didn't keep me from buying it. The collar area doesn't really snap or button so that leaves you with some exposed area in your far upper chest and collar area. I think you could probably use a nice scarf and cover most of that area up. All in all super happy with it especially for the price! ... show more

I was contemplating getting this trench coat for a long time. I saw some reviews where the xsmall was still quite large, so I was a little concerned. I 'm 5', but I'm about 5'5 with my shoes on. So, after waiting a while, I used the try before you buy option. I received it within two days, and I figured if I don't like it, I'll just return it. Happy to say as soon as I opened it, I really liked the trench. As I tried the trench coat on, the xsmall fit me perfectly! I bought the regular Khaki, and it is a very comfortable fit, I love this coat. It's very high quality and does a pretty good job keeping me warm as well. It makes me feel like a detective too! It feels great and is light weight. The belt though, does not stay secure; I had to fasten the belt with a safety pin. One thing I wasn't too fond of wither was that it has no top button closure. I had to use another safety pin to close the top in the rain TODAY. Besides that, everyone says it looks great. One fantastic feature about it is I am 5' 4". This jacket reaches my shoes! I prefer that length, especially in the rain. I am thinking of having a "top" button put in by a seamstress to make it more rain-friendly. ... show more

I didn't want light-weight. I wanted protection from the elements. This coat has substance. Great value for the money. Stretch? Is that really an issue? If the fit is good you don't need Spandex. This jacket provides both style and function. I'm 5'11" and got a large. I can wear a suit underneath it or a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Or I can wear a flannel shirt. The sleeves are very sufficient. They didn't cheap out here either. Arm coverage is very important. You have to retain body heat. Love my new coat. ... show more

This trench coat looks great on me. It's water proof and wind resistant. This will cover a lot of you, boots and a hat should take care of the rest, which will keep your clothes dry. This is really impressive for a coat at this temp. I only got it yesterday, so I will have to come back in a few months to edit this if something has changed... But so far, I love it. I'm 5'11 at 165lbs, and the XS coat fits perfectly. So if you're a guy of average build like myself. You'll want the XS. I got the plush version, and I have to say, it's really warm in it. I live in NY where temps are starting to go down, and last night it was about 40 something, and going outside with this and a t-shirt it was very warm. So I think it'll do well in the winter if paired with a sweater. (will update when the time hits) The only thing I find odd about the coat, is that it's "waist" belt loops, are about five-six inches down from my arm pits. Not sure if this is a design choice or just a mistake in this specific coat, but, it doesn't really effect much.
