Today there are so many medal detectors to choose from its easy to get lost and frustrated in the process. Yes normally we all get what we pay for, but there are times when we find a product that is very affordable and quality made. i like to see whats popular and recommended by Amazon. the best choice logo is recommended for starters. I chose this product because the features it has are the same as some of the more expensive brands, plus the reviews i researched on YouTube had me excited to make the purchase. The order came on time and the packaging was very secure i was glad to see they took pride in making sure every small item had its own compartment and safely tied down. The instructions where very clear and in English. It was very easy to essemble and in no time I had it on, set up and ready to explore my backyard by the river. The detector was very comfortable and lightweight, nice and loud volume when turned up. very sensitive and easy to tune for different materials. i buried a silver bar a gold bar and some pocket change. iot found all the items and even had its own unique beep for each metal. I would recommend getting a small wand to go with it for more accurate locating. This is my first metal detector, and I absolutely love it! It is very easy to use and to set up. I was able to learn very quickly how to use it, and the I love the different options and settings it has, allowing me to focus on specific metal items I am looking for. It is great for kids as well, as my nieces and nephews love it as well. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to get into metal detecting. It is also easy to carry around, very light, and very simple to use in the field. The accessories that come with it are also very helpful and fun to work with. Product was good for beginners and I've never really used one until now. Its adjustable to different users so good for a tween to adult. Took it out in the back yard and immediately started finding stuff, from nails to coins. It allows you to adjust the discrimination and sensitivity to suit your needs in case you just want it to hit on higher value metals. Liked the pinpoint feature to help zero in on the buried item. Menu is intuitive and so far my kid was able to figure it out with very little instruction. I would recommend getting one of those handheld models, even a basic one, to accompany this when digging. This was a birthday present for our son who has wanted a metal detector for some time. We live near the beach so he could not wait to test it out. The length adjusted easily to his level and within a few minutes we were scanning the beach for 'treasures.' We chose this one because the display was easy to read, it was waterproof, and because it came with a shovel. Within a bit of searching we had found a few can tabs, which showed up correctly on the metal meter. We also found a whole can, some nails, and another piece of iron. My family and I have a great time with it! You can use it during the day or at night. I can go to the beach by myself, put the headphones on, relax, walk and find treasures (still looking for the gold and diamond rings lol) or you can go with the family. This metal detector is a great product to start a lifelong hobby! It’s lightweight yet durable, easy to use, and gets results! For the price, you can’t beat it. First day out, we were getting multiple hits for various items… unfortunately, no old gold coins or such, mostly aluminum cans, but it works well and we’re sure we’ll eventually hit something really cool! Haven't had a chance to field test this yet but messing with it in the backyard I can tell it's a keeper. It's for my wife and she should pinpoint things well after practice. The headphones are nice and light. Not the type to make your ears sore after a hour or two. The shovel is questionable. We'll see. ... show more
