I bought the pair of 6.5s, paired them with the nvx vad8402 amp, played a bit with the frequency knob/bass & gain of the amp and I got them to sound awesome, also paired with my ecoxgear soundbar and 8 inch sub.. they have plenty of mid bass range and highs.. if you add a good amp, the will sound awesome & loud.. they are well made for what they are, definitely recomend! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Sound ok for the setup. Did cut cables off and sprayed connections with liquid electric tape. Hooked up to 500 watt 4 channel amp and added 2 4 inch speakers with 1 inch tweeters. I can hear clearly while running 35mph on the trails.

These speakers and enclosures are excellent. They provide great bass in an open area and clear highs. The people giving low reviews are expecting JL tower speakers for $100. JL cost 8x the price of these. The rest of my boat has Fusion 8.8 and 7.7 speakers with two 10" subs, all heavily amplified. I bought a pair of these Rockville's to fill an occasional void of sound I have on the bow of my boat. I put them up and take them off as I need them, I don't leave them up all the time. The biggest mistake people are making with these is OVER POWERING THEM!! Stop using an 800 watt amp with these. These speakers can only handle the output from your head unit, maybe a little more. I have them powered from 2 channels of my Fusion UD650 head unit and they sound GREAT. They pound for 6-8 hours at the sand bar and have given zero issues. ... show more

Easy to install, and awesome that it comes with bolts long enough to attach to a Jeep roll bar. Great quality, and absolutely love that I don't have to worry about them getting wet, especially since from April til about October or November I try to leave the doors and windows off my Jeep (here in central Alabama.) I'm not super picky about my sound system, but this, I feel, is far superior to the stock sound bar. For the price this is unbeatable Used this on my jeep yj with a 400w pioneer amp Easy to install just 2 wires and the unit crimps down on them no tools needed The sound is magnificent, has good high and lows Will be buying another 2 to add soon!

Installed in my old Bronco. They sound OK and look good, though they are quite large. Installation was easy enough and the tilt function was manditory for mounting on the angled portion of the roll bar. What is not good, is the safety cable (meant to restrain speaker if it comes loose) rubs right against one of the wire terminals! If the safety cable goes to ground, then the speakers are shorted out. Terrible design. I tried to take the four phillips screws out that hold the housing together where the safety cable comes out of, but the screws don't come out and I was afraid of breaking the speaker case. I will probably end up using a wire cutter to snip them off. ... show more
