🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Overall, customers find the fish finder a valuable tool for enhancing their fishing experience despite its lack of a chart plotter. It boasts easy installation, a bright and clear display, intuitive use, and especially excels with its down and side imaging capabilities. While the absence of built-in maps is a noted drawback, many users feel the device’s performance and price point outweigh this limitation, making it an appealing choice for both seasoned and new anglers.

Pros

  • 🐟 Excellent down and side imaging for improved fishing
  • 📱 Easy to use with a very bright and clear screen
  • 🛠️ Simple installation process
  • 💰 Good value for money compared to other fish finders on the market
  • 🚤 GPS functionality allows for waypoint marking even without a chart plotter

Cons

  • ❌ No built-in chart plotter or maps, limiting navigation capabilities
  • 🗺️ May require additional devices or apps for full navigation functionality

Should I Buy It?

If you prioritize high-quality imaging and GPS functionality over built-in navigation maps and can complement the device with alternative navigation tools, this fish finder offers excellent value and should greatly enhance your fishing experience. It's especially recommended for those who fish in areas where detailed maps are not crucial or are already familiar with their fishing spots.

  • No chart plotter but we'll worth the money
Great fish finder. Love, LOVE the down and side imaging. Easy to use and a very bright screen. Be aware there is NO CHART PLOTTER. It has GPS so you can add waypoints and find your way back to them but no plotter. I use a chart plotter app on my phone and I like that better and it's far cheaper than buying a lake card. Personally I think this is a good value even without the chart plotter. I have found no other fish finder that has side imaging for close to this price. I bought 2 of these. I put one on the helm and was so happy with it that I bought one for the trolling motor. The down imagine is so clear that at times I can see individual fish chasing my bait or lure. This fish finders have definitely increased my catch rate by a large percentage. Anyway, I highly recommend this unit. For the money, it's the best value if you can live without a plotter. ... show more

  • Game changer for kayak fishing!
A little bit of a learning curve but it's worth it! It definitely improved my catch count exponentially! No more guessing where the structure is! Couldn't recommend more.

  • Works well if you do a bit of research.
Setup was pretty straightforward. There are great videos on YouTube showing how to install a side scan transducer properly. Watch them if you aren’t sure what you’re doing! My first trip out, I didn’t get much on the side scan, but I think I had the transducer set too high. It was also a grassy lake. I adjusted the transducer a bit lower and changed the angle a bit, and when I hit my local reservoir I could see the rock jetty at the launch, sunken trees and brush piles, and bottom composition changes very clearly. I’m still learning to use the gps as far as setting waypoints, but so far it’s been useful. It’s a pleasant surprise to have a good quality side scan at this price. 2d sonar and down scan screens are solid as expected. Shame I can’t link my navionics app from my phone to the garmin instead of using active captain, which I find makes navigating more complicated when the sun is so bright I can’t see the app screen on my phone. ... show more
