  • Good value at a competitive price point.
Color: Grey
Works as it should. Helped accurately identify cold areas of my daughter’s room. Took the guess work out of my remedy. I also work with injection molding, so this will come in handy at work. The ease of use on this will outweigh our outdated FLIR.

  • Pretty Dang Good for an Inexpensive Thermal Camera
Color: Grey
Back when I had a job, I was (among many other things) a Level II thermographer with a certificate in electrical inspections. Now retired, I thought it would be nice to have a camera of my own, but I certainly wasn't going to spend $1k or more on one. This P1 is about as inexpensive as it gets (and in retrospect I might have spent a bit more and gotten one of the higher-end Thermal Master cameras) but I must say I am pretty impressed. It takes good images, and seems to be pretty accurate* but there are some features I wish it had--for instance, the ability to easily take a visual image of the same shot as the thermal image. I would also like to be able to analyze images on my desktop. To be fair, I haven't spent a lot of time reading the instructions (I am a man) and perhaps there are ways to do these things that I haven't discovered yet. All in all, if you are looking for a quick and easy way to start experimenting with thermal imaging, this is a good avenue. *If you are going to use radiometric instruments, you'd better understand what you are doing. An infrared thermometer or camera DOES NOT tell you the temperature. It tells you how much infrared radiation the source is emitting. The relationship between infrared and temperature is dependent on emissivity, and if you do not know the emissivity of the object, you do not know the temperature. If your radiometric thermometer tells you 180° C, the one thing you do know is that the temperature is HOTTER than 180° C. Unless you are just wanting to play with an infrared camera (that's pretty much what I wanted) you have better study up on it. ... show more

  • Great for circuit boards.
Color: Grey
I needed the P1 to find hot parts on electronic circuit boards. It gives a very clear picture of the temperature of even tiny 0603 size surface mount parts in fine detail. This is a wonderful tool.

  • Garbage
Color: Grey
Thing worked a couple times before it went haywire. Next thing you know it won't recognize the device/camera or both. Picture in picture function is the same, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Temperature calibrating can be instant, sometimes it bounces around for 5 minutes. Would not recommend for home inspectors ... show more

  • Works great!
Color: Grey
This thing works great. Tested the accuracy. It's pretty well dead on the money. Variance is only by 1°

  • It's pretty good for the money but def not pro quality
Color: Grey
It's fairly good for the money. I don't think you'll find a thermal camera at this level of quality anywhere else. Now it's definitely not top of a the line by any means. But it's fairly accurate for the price point. Im not sure how accurate it's self recalibration feature is. Bc I'll be looking at something that's like 106 degrees farenheit next to something that's like 85 degrees farenheit. And it'll recalibrate on its own. And now the temperature is showing slightly different by a couple of degrees. So take that for what it's worth. But overall you really can't beat the price for this thing. Id recommend it to other people if you want a around about temperature of things. Not for very precise accuracy on temperature. ... show more

  • Excellent for the home owner/ hobby
Color: Grey
Can't beat this thing for the money. Fun AND useful. Of course you can get higher resolution, faster frame rates, etc. But you'd have to spend a LOT more to get it. Again, you can't beat this thing for the price.

  • It's okay.
Color: Grey
Not real clear detail, but pretty neat.
