Bought this Ozeri OZH1 Ceramic heater to help heat up my house so I dont have to keep using furnace! Its nice and tall and it oscillates which is helpful to heat up a big room! I love that I can have high or low heat and that I can also set a temperature so once it hits it, it automatically shuts off till it cools down so many degrees than comes back on by itself! I can also put it on a timer and it will shut off when I say I want it to! You can have it just heat from top/ bottom or both! Seems sturdy on carpet! Has a remote control or you can also do the changes on the tower itself! ... show more

    • Average heater for an above average price.
Don't be fooled. DUAL ZONE DOES NOT MEAN HEATING AND COOLING. Dual zone means you can set the top and bottom heaters to on/off or high/low. You cannot set different temperatures. You cannot cool. The fan surface does get hot so keep away from kids and any flammable surfaces. Also do not touch the screen until cool. Finally you cannot use this with an extension cord as this increases risk of fire hazard and unit failure. Keep in mind the cord is about 3 ft long and the radius of heat felt is about 2 ft away (by this I mean, when set, you can feel the emanating heat about 2 feet away max). I will say that after 1.5-2 hrs my 500 sq ft room is warmer. There are pros, hence the 3 stars. Pros: Very quiet. Aesthetically pleasing. DUAL (meaning top and bottom) FILTERS are easy to remove. The controls are simple basically owing to the fact that you can set it to high or low, top and/or bottom, single temp can be set for both, and oscillating vs not. Oh and optional timer can be set so unit turns off after 1-9 hours. Ultimately, it is an average heater for an above average price. I got this heater the day it said it would be delivered. The package was in absolutely perfect condition. Set up took me literally 3 minutes, and it was up and running. I live in renovated basement located in a house in upstate NY, where cold miserable winters are all you know. While there is a pellet stove down here, none of the heat from the house above reaches down here, and I needed another alternative in addition to the pellet stove, as I cannot keep that running while I am out of the house, and I wanted to save a little where I could. This space heater instantly heats the entire basement, turns off as needed and right back on when the temperature drops. The timer is ideal as I can set that when I'm going to sleep or when I'm at work but want my cats to be a little cozy. The glass base is perfect for animals, as they cannot tip the heater over, and it makes the heater stand very sturdy wherever you place it. I was debating getting one or two space heaters, but that's no longer a concern, as this one works so well. If I did decide to get a second space heater, to put one on each side (although now that seems unnecessary) I would get a second space heater of this exact kind.     • Want to love this appliance but...
It’s a beautiful heater. Controls are great. Heats well until it shuts itself off. So I program it for 70 degrees. It hits that temp and then shuts off I’m guessing fo it’s built in overheat protection? But it never turns back on....then room drops back down to 60 and I have to manually turn it on again? I have a heater that was 30 bucks that does a better job than that! ... show more

This heater is making a usually freezing room nice and cozy. It does take a while to fully heat the space, but the room it's being used in is extremely cold. It comes on a bit loud, then settles into a steady hum that fades into the background. A previous heater I had burned through the outlet, so I've become extremely reluctant to use them, but I feel more secure with this heater's safety features. Took reading the instructions a couple of times to get the hang of how to operate the separate heaters, but it's not that complicated. A friend bought the same heater after using mine. ... show more

Is this heater a natural form of heat? This heater seems to do something negative to the oxygen in my home. I began to feel the negative effect in my throat and headache after waking up from sleep while having this heater on overnight. The heater drys the air out so thoroughly that I'm now breathing in dry air, instead of air that has a degree of humidity. All air should have a degree of humidity instead of being completely dry. I find myself using it while having a window open just so that outside air (humidity) can enter in so that the air in my home wouldn't be completely dry due to this heater. ... show more

I am a big fan of Ozeri Products. I had ordered this heater in January 2018, but it was on backorder. Must be very popular. Received it on 12 February. It really doesn't get cold here in Florida, but on the day I received it, we had a cold wave just starting to come through so I was able to check it out for a few days. I was extremely impressed with the operation and features. We placed it in our living room. We liked that it was Oscillating and the temperature was uniform reaching our seating areas with equal heating without actually having to move the tower. The unit is attractive and has a small footprint, therefore taking up very little room. The remote is an outstanding feature being able to change settings without crawling out of the recliner.
