It’s an ice cream scooper
Works just as I hoped and is dishwasher safe. I’ve had it about 6 months without a glitch. Solid OXO durability. The dishwasher safe is why I bought this

Sturdy scooper
Very sturdy but doesn’t work as good as the scoops with the antifreeze in the handle. Great for other foods such as cookie dough and portioning ready to eat meals

Solid ice cream scoop
Bought this since I was tired of using a spoon to scoop hard ice cream from my freezer, this was definitely worth the money and makes my life much easier. Very sturdy and lasts well through the dishwasher

Easy to Use
I have used a large spoon to dig out ice cream for most of my life. Sometimes if the ice cream is really hard it was difficult to get a good scoop. I have also bent several spoons using this method. Then a friend brough a scoop like this one to use for a birthday party. I was so surprised at how easy it was to get nice scoops out and into the serving dish. No more bent spoons for me. ... show more

Scoops out ice cream and is sturdy

Not like the old ones.
OXO has reduced the quality of the scoop - the handle is light weight and looks like cheap plastic. Without a heavy handle, you have to exert a lot more force. It works but am disappointed.

OXO always fulfils.
I Needed a replacement scoop. So many choices, but, the OXO brand has always been superior. Expensive Yes. Best Choice? Yes
