This has been amazing! It has given me sooo much peace of mind. I haven’t had any issues or false alarms. If it comes off because she’s wiggling it will beep letting you know. That has not happened unless I took it off and forgot to put it on the base. It also gives peace of mind when your baby is sick because it tracks oxygen. ... show more

…you love technical failures, false alarms in the middle of the night, and poor audio recording quality. This product is designed to give the parents peace of mind, but were found that it does just the opposite. *Technical Failures* On a daily basis, the camera fails to load on either my or my wife’s app. Sometimes it’s both of us, sometimes it’s just one of us. We haven’t found a way to address this other than unplugging the camera and plugging it back in, which can be difficult if your camera is plugged in behind the crib, as ours is. *False Alarms* The Owlet sock regularly gives us false alarms. Most of the time the unit is alerting us that the sock isn’t positioned correctly when it is. Occasionally, we have gotten the red alerts as false alarms, which indicate your child isn’t breathing. Needless to say, these types of false alarms in the middle of the night cause panic and do not bring the peace of mind that Owlet advertises. *Poor Audio in Videos* The filter on the microphone seems to be exceptionally poor. If you try to watch a recorded video, most of the time the microphone fails to pick up the audio because it exceeds the frequency range. This creates a choppy audio effect which is pretty useless. The audio in realtime typically works for quieter sounds, but things like cries or sirens cause all audio to drop out. *Summary* We seldom write product reviews, but felt obligated to do so for this product. It doesn’t bring peace of mind like they advertise. It creates frustration and fear, neither of which are good for already sleep deprived new parents. I’d recommend looking for an alternative, more reliable sock device and buying a baby monitor that doesn’t have the reliability woes that this one has. ... show more

Best baby monitor! I am so glad that I got this baby monitor with monitoring sock. Gives me such peace of mind to be able to check on baby while he is sleeping especially when he is sick! Has a feature that you can turn the sound from monitor to back ground noise on your phone so you can listen to baby but still use your phone.     • Just get the cam. Sock is useless

I have had so many problems getting the sock to work. Additionally, the “dream” sock just monitors your baby and does not alert you when something is wrong. So literally what’s the point. I think I have more anxiety when my child is wearing the sock because I watch the app to make sure she doesn’t sudden stop breathing. It is way too expensive. Just get the cam or a different camera. I’ve not had any problems with the cam but the sock continuously has connection issues or not taking readings. $400+ down the drain. ... show more
