No one knows what causes SIDS. The thought of this kept me up at night. The sock tracker feels like the only reason I can sleep with peace of mind. It takes 10 minutes for the sock to update average O2 and I don’t fall asleep until it does. If anything goes wrong at night, I have confidence that this will wake me up so I can address any issues with baby. Camera has a bit of a lag. Sleep tracker is okay. Very happy to have come across the Owlet baby camera. It was super easy to install and I love how it syncs to your phone. It makes it convenient and less of a hassle to try and charge the monitor when it dies like the other monitors on the market!

The sock seems nice and comfortable but my daughter kept messing with it. I wish instead of using a phone app it came with something like a monitor that you can set beside your bed or carry around. The quality of the camera is great though!

Really love this product for sleep training as it tracks the baby’s sleep patterns and can tell you what the perfect room settings are to give baby the best sleep. My only issue is that there is a small delay (only by a few seconds) when viewing the camera on my phone but I hear that can be an issue with all wifi monitors. We ordered the combo owlet sock and video cam. The sock has been great, no problems at all. When we got ready to use the video cam we never could get it set up. After several different contacts with owlet we was still unable to get it working! Very disappointing and the owlet help would never call us to get it set up. They would only email. ... show more

Whenever my Grandson would sleep, we pretty much took turns watching his chest rise and fall because we were all so worried about him potentially stopping breathing. We got one of these things and we all slept a bit better not having to worry as much. By the third week, our sleep was almost normal again. You never really completely stop worrying about a newborn until they are a toddler. I got my sister one and explained to her how it worked, so she could try to get some meaningful sleep again since she was also on the struggle bus with my nephew. The Owlet is great when it actually works. I've had mine for about a month and a half. The first few weeks it worked perfectly. The camera has great quality and there isn't much of a lag, the sock gives great readings right to my phone! But the last few weeks the camera will randomly stop working, the sock will too. Sometimes the sound on the video will just go out without warning. I've woken up in the middle of the night many times to find the thing that's supposed to give me peace of mind is no longer functioning and I have no idea how long it's been that way.
