I bought this chair to watch movies etc from. Note that you will need a pillow to elevate your head if the TV is not mounted high on the wall. The addition of the rocker gives a nice suttle movement that is (surprisingly) quite nice. Assembly is easy once you figure out how the foot rest pieces align. Im a big man, tall and heavy. I bought this to tide me over til I decide on what high end chair to buy. I like REAL top grain leather. This chair is very Easy to assemble and is not bad for what I paid. I love the gliding rocking action, I do NOT like the material of the seat, whatever it is. BUT, i do like the looks of it, I will admit. I am almost certain this will handle my tall heavy body weight for a While. I will use. Throw on it for more comfort. I read all the reviews and was so excited about getting this chair for my office sitting area to watch TV. Well, my husband put it all together and it's so low to the ground. I'm 69 with osteoarthritis and getting in and out of this chair is next to impossible. You cannot sit up straight as there is no lock on the chair so you rock whether you want too or not. Getting in and out of this chair for somebody like me with any type of mobility or back issues is not for them. Now how am I going to return this? ... show more

Warning! This chair may result in doing nothing but sitting in it all day. Its so comfy and soft. I tell myself that the rocking is my exercise. But really, it's not easy to leave it. It's easy to assemble and looks modern and cool.

This is a really comfortable chair. It does not have a back that tilts up and down so you basically are laying in it all the time. However, you are propped up enough to watch the tv or read. If you have trouble getting in and out of chairs, this chair is not for you.

Not a complex build but some people may be well served to have a helper holding parts steady. For most, this will be an easy build even if solo. Completely pleased with this purchase.
