Overall great filament. Color matches perfectly. I had to unjam a tangled spool once in the ams, so thay was likely my fault. Print quality was great, just keep in mind that silk always prints a bit off. Good value for money. I do dislike the cardboard spools though.

Really impressed with this filament. The sheen on finished prints is legitimately beautiful, not gimmicky. It actually looks metallic without any post-processing. Print settings needed minor tweaking from my standard PLA profile (I dropped bed temp slightly and slowed first layer speed), but once dialed in it ran consistently. I’ve printed a few display pieces with it and the surface quality is excellent. Zero stringing with a retraction tune. For functional parts, I’d stick to standard PLA or PETG, but for anything decorative or a display piece, this is the filament to reach for.

This is my second roll of PLA purchased from Overture, and my second Silk finish roll as well. I first purchased the silk blue and adored how it looked. I ended up curiously wandering back to Amazon to look into the other Silk colors Overture offers and fell in love with the vibrancy of the neon green. It’s just as vibrant and beautiful in person, which is a huge plus since you never really know how something is going to look until you actually receive it. I use a pretty typical 0.4 nozzle size with mostly default settings on my Neptune 3 Pro, and this filament does an awesome job. Doesn’t clog, extrudes like a dream. I’m still an amateur to printing but I’m so glad to experiment with printing and learning more about my hobby without having to fight a tricky filament. Definitely worth buying! I plan on getting other silk colors in the future.

I have bought the Overture Neon Green Silk PLA for Ender 3v2. Adhesion: This was quite tricky, I could not get it stick. I ended up printing first layer at 70C for bed and 215C for filament, then it adhered without further problems. The rest of the print is run at 60C/200C. The recyclable spool: I love that they don’t have plastic spools. However all of them are harder to rotate in my spool dryer and they seemed to be spooled unevenly, going deep on one side. Troublesome unspooling and cause extrusion issue. Overall print quality: Temperature tower looked great from 200C to 220C which is not common, so kudos. I print at 200C and 3mm retraction distance to avoid zits and stringing and the results are great as you can see on the attached picture.

As always Overture PLA provides excellent prints. Adhesion is always good and stringing is rare if there is any stringing at all. I have never had any problems with jams or breaking during prints with Overture PLA. The printed objects are always good quality and I have never had any need to dry my PLA after storage. My only complaint about the Christmas PLA Filament is that it does not change colors often enough. You have to make large prints that use a lot of filament to see much color change. I've seen other multi-color filaments, but often they get lower reviews and I don't like doing re-makes. I hope that Overture will make a fast-color-change filament in the future. I'll be in line to buy it if they do. Also, when I use this to print dragons, I use a glow in the dark filament for the final layers and the kids love the combination of colors and glow in the dark. My glow filament is also made by Overture. That's the only brand I buy now.

Bought this several times. Great silk silvery filament with good layer adhesion and strength for a silk filament. Does take a little more heat than standard PLA, which is normal in my experience. Love the rigid cardboard spools vs brands that use a massive hunk of disposable plastic for the spool. This and the same brand in other colors has become by Go-to PLA.
