I've been looking for a reasonably priced recliner for our TV room for longer than I care to admit. I took a gamble on this one instead of driving over an hour to the 'local' furniture store. The build quality is slightly better than I expected at this price point. The recline mechanism is manual, but smooth and extremely easy to operate. The entire chair can be assembled by yourself in less than 5 minutes. You basically slide the back rest onto the chair 'bottom', attach the 2 bolsters by sliding them in place, and you are done. This chair pops up on sale once in a while and if you aren't in a rush, you might want to wait for prime days, or another sale opportunity as I was able to save about 60 dollars off the normal price that way. Anyway, the chair is good enough, I would pay full price for it if I needed something now*, you won't feel like you got burned if you do. We've only had ours for about a week now, I will update this for wear and tear if there are any concerns as we continue to use it. 3 month update - Still very happy with this purchase. I use it for maybe an hour a day on average, and it's holding up quite well. I'm 6'3" and weigh just under 180 pounds. There is no noticeable degradation support in the cushion, the fabric is holding up perfectly so far. This is not heirloom quality furniture here, but it sure beats many of our other options in this price range. ... show more

These were just as described and very easy to put together. Very comfortable. These came on 2 different days and the second one and the box was damaged and the bottom bar was bent. I could still use it, but it's clear it happened in the warehouse or shipping.

The rocking motion is very smooth and locks when you pull the lever for the leg rest...and it's firm and wide enough that my 30lbs dog can sit beside me with ease.
