I actually had to order another one because my son decided to do some crazy move and dunked the ball and snapped the hoop. Haven't had any other issues because he knows if he does it again, he just won't get another one. It is super easy to assemble, and I like that you do have the options to either put it on the wall or over the door. I will say it's probably best to use a metal needle piece for blowing up the balls, the one that came with it gave me a lot of trouble. but over all my son plays with this everyday ... show more

Intimidating when you first open the package. Lots of screws and brackets. Overall now too difficult to assemble? But time consuming when you have a little ready to get their dunk in

This set was fairly easy to assemble. It was a little trickier in that the backboard was two halves, but it was still quite manageable with one person. One big plus to this is that the backboard is larger than others that are similar style. My favorite aspect of this basketball set is that the backboard is set up and ships with all the needed hardware to either hang it on a door or wall mount it. I chose to hang it from a couple of scraps of woods down in my basement for the kiddos. The spring loaded rim is also a nice feature to help ensure they don’t rip it off the backboard when channeling their inner NBA star. It’s also nice that it comes with a few basketballs so they can easily share. My only negative with this set was the included pump. My kiddo wanted to help pump the baseballs up, but managed to break the pump when trying to inflate the first ball. In their defense it’s pretty flimsy, but not unlike other freebie pumps you get. I’ve broken similar ones myself. Thankfully I had some spares laying around and was able to pump the basketballs up for them. I did not mark the set down due to this, but wanted to let others know it’s easy to break. ... show more

We thought this would be perfect for our 4-10 year old boys, but it broke after the first day. The description says it is durable and not easily broken, but it did. I'm very disappointed.

    • As close as you can get to the real thing for an over the door basketball net.
I can sum this up in one work. AMAZING!! This truly has to be one of the best made products I have ever seen in my life. And I'm not just talking about over the door basketball nets I'm talking about everything and anything. The quality and realism of this basketball backboard and net are truly incredible. It has a well made this plastic backboard, a well made durable basketball rim that even safely breaks away when you do a high impact power slam dunk and hold onto the rim with the intention of breaking it off. It does so purposely and safely to add the overall real effect of the item. Also the backboard is extremely easy to put together and install over the door. Takes no more than a few minutes and minimal effort. And any questions you may have along the way the instruction manual explains everything in great detail. This also comes with 3 rubber basketballs and a pump to inflate them. In my opinion if anyone was ever to start an indoor couch/armchair basketball league this would be the set up the pros would use it's that good. So obviously I say this is a tremendous value for the cost and an overall incredible item. ... show more

The rim separated from the rim on the first day of use. It looked like it was glued to backboard. Terrible quality!
