The cheapest toaster I could find at $14.99. It's light weight and compact. At the 1.5 setting, it evenly toasted my bread within 30 seconds. The last toaster I had (checkmate brand) survived 12 years. That one was heavy and took forever to brown the toast just like what I have posted in the picture. So far, I'm liking this toaster. I don't use a toaster very often and didn't want to pay a lot for it. It takes up less space then my old toaster and works well. My only complaint is that the slots are fairly narrow. If you want to toast a bun, bagel, or something thicker than normal bread you will have to smash it first to make it fit. It seems to give a consistent toasting once you figure out what setting you like it to be. After that you can just leave it on that setting and you get perfect toasting every time. It's black so it hides dust or crumbs better than a white one. I have only used it a few times so I can't say how long it will last. ... show more

I have had this toaster for a while now and that's when you get a real review of a products performance. Not after you have only toasted a loaf and a couple of bagels. I have used this regularly for multiple loaves of toast and several bags of bagels as well as a fair amount of toaster pastries and for a little economy toaster it had held it's own well. It looks nice on the counter and it is easily cleaned with a quick wipe down and it doesn't streak. It's not fast but it's not slow but it's half fast! It's a good value for an economy 2 slice toaster and it only burns your toast if you crank it up too high and walk away from it. ... show more

In fairness, the toaster functions adequately. It toasts bread and bagels reasonably well, with adjustable settings that accommodate various browning preferences. For a college student on a tight budget or someone looking for a temporary solution, this toaster could suffice. It's undeniably basic and won't dazzle anyone, but it gets the job done. However, the build quality is where this toaster falls short. The cheap plastic exterior feels fragile and insubstantial, making me question its durability over time. The buttons and dials lack the reassuring solidity found in higher-end models, and the overall design leaves much to be desired aesthetically. In retrospect, I should have managed my expectations better considering the price point.
